29 June 2024 - The Māniatoto Plain, also called The Maniototo, is a beautiful elevated inland region in Otago, New Zealand. It includes the upper parts of the Taieri River and the Manuherikia River.
This area is located between Dunedin and Queenstown in Central Otago, on New Zealand's South Island. Unfortunately, many foreign visitors tend to overlook this stunning region.
Fact: Māniatoto is the correct spelling for Maniototo.
