Manic - Become Insane! (Full Showcase) 

God, finally! Some cosmical horror "mod". I was dying for more after playing Abyssal craft.

I found this datapack around a week ago and wondered why nobody was talking about it more, since it’s been out for ages. It’s really nice to see Yorkmouse showcase it!

I'm so glad more and more spooky mods are coming out lately, you just KNOW someone's gonna eventually throw them all together in a pack for a world-class Lovecraftian machinima series at some point

I love the dichotomy of you explaining lovecraftian horrors with your calm and soothing voice

Extra info: Spooks and mirages only spawn in overworld Revenants only spawn in the nether Eidolons only spawn in the end, this will make the battle against the dragon harder if you have low sanity

This is actually amazing, so amazing that there's only one point of critique i can think of: the sanity bar is quite obstructive, and might be dominant in bigger modpacks.

I LOVE GOING INSANE IN MINECRAFT, Thank you for covering another mod that shows this kind of content! Hex casting and Thaumcraft are SO GOOD, can't wait to try this mod out too!

Damn, I really dig this. Massive don't starve vibes, can't wait for a good eldritch horror mod pack (I was obsessed with old thaumcraft's insanity mechanics).

I really hope this mod becomes an actual mod an not just a datapack, the details, animations, sound designs and much more of this mod is just too great! but the fact it's more of a datapack than a mod feels limiting and kinda fake too, the mobs and items are just vanilla content in disguise , you can't get the new stuff in creative or with commands and the mobs can bug out a lot more than actual modded entities. other than that it's a really INSANE datapack-mod and one of my favorites too! Edit actually, you can get the new stuff with custom commands made by the datapack, but i rest my case that this should be a full-fledged mod

This make's me think that the phantoms could have actually had done something to do with the mood variable, you know, the one that makes the creepy cave noises. I do like the mob and I think it would have been enjoyable to deal with if their spawn wasnt so intrusive

This mod reminds me of don't starve- mainly Maxwell's whole playstyle w/ the grimoire

Oh boy horrors my human mind can’t comprehend

I like how the parts they drop are named after cell parts

i was exploring through a Pillager Manor (from another mod) and i got insane while exploring it because of the darkness in the basement and attic areas, and the sounds and background "music" it played made it feel like i was playing resident evil or something. didnt help that the next day i saw herobrine run in the manor (from the fog datapack). that was probably one of the best experiences i had in this game lol

Data Pack has been updated. a new video going over the updates would be nice.

You should try Cobblemon, it’s newly released and like a Pokémon mod. It’s like pixelmon (if you’ve ever heard of it) but 1000x better and fits the vanilla vibe. Updates are still coming out and it’s still being worked on but it has a lot of potential and has an amazing team of modders
