Manic Pixie Dream for solo bass clarinet | Composed and Performed by Larkin Sanders

Manic Pixie Dream by Larkin Sanders is a piece for solo bass clarinet inspired by the frenetic nature of contemporary dance music and singular, life-changing people and events. It was composed in April 2022 and was premiered by the composer during the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra’s 11th season. The work features a handful of extended techniques such as didgeridoo sounds and smears, making it a raucous, good time for all music-lovers.
