Manic Pixie Dream is a new era of it's own. This EP explores transparency and vulnerability within myself, and the idea that happiness and enjoyment are some of the deepest and important feelings a person can have in their life time. This is video 2/4. In these videos, I wanted to create a day-in-the-life of the manic pixie dream girl sort of feel. We're leaning into all the stereotypes I've gotten throughout the years (whether good or bad). And using scenarios that have happened in real life as exaggerated true events. It was such a fun spontaneous process. A scrapbook of imagery. A mixed-media perspective on her lifestyle. We filmed the majority of this video in my old house in California. In this EP we are welcoming much change and evolution in my own personal human experience (lyrically, physically and melodically). We can't embrace growth and evolution if we are not open to turning a new leaf. In change, growth and transparency is were we honor our higher selves. The response I've gotten on Spotify for these songs have been amazing! 22,000 streams in 4 weeks. Thank you so much. I hope everyone is thriving

I see all of these comments and I get where people are coming from. I fell in love with the first impression too but, I also know how multifaceted you are and this genre fits you just as well as the old. I see how unapologetically genuine you are and that charm of Elizabeth still rings through the foundation of Eliza’s indie pop music.

I'm rather someone who's not that much into "pop-ish" music which is why this song won't be one of my favorites, but nevertheless I can see how much thought and love went into this song and also the video. It's great, your music videos are always a gift! I really really like the lyrics in the chorus and I'd like to praise the use of the trumpet like sounds (clarinets? im sorry im bad at music :,)), they sound awesome, like really pleasing to the ears. Or mine atleast ^^

They’re saxophones 😊 My friend Ryan played them on the EP and he was incredible! Manic Pixie Dream is def a turn as far as sound goes so I totally get it’s not for everyone. But I still love how you can feel the passion in it somehow that still means so much ❤️❤️

I still love your voice, but this one's not for me. Too much pop, was never into that. Also I dig melancholic stuff way more, so this doesn't resonate well with what I like. Still wish you the best with your music and all, also no clue what would work for a broader audience, these were just my 2 cents =)

No worries! You should check out “Intro” from the EP. It’s all piano tracked in my dining room and is a v sad/hopeful vibe. There’s a stream for it on the channel and a music video for it next week :)
