This is probably too 'rock' for this crowd. Painfully safe festivals like this are what have killed music in this country. The 'us and them' has gone but the us and them is what made it all quite exciting and now it's all diluted to the max. The Manics in 94 would have probably stuck two fingers up at the idea of playing something like this. Still a great band.
James Barton I’m 24 and yes all the great concerts on RU-vid are from the 90’s and early 2000’s, back when you had crowds that were into metal and heavier rock. Now it’s like playing in front of 10,000 statues. Not only that there was less security back then and beer was probably much cheaper. There are too many rules and health and safety now to enjoy things. Not only that the older bands seem to be better and more interesting. Rock music doesn’t seem to be taking off and it’s a shame
underneonloneliness - yes. entry searches,no bags big enough to hold a 2 litre bottle and eye watering bar prices....also, by the time the Manics came on I was quite tired ;-)- good set though, just too short
