Wala nman gaanong ganap dito sa Manila, puro skwater lang makikita mo except sa mga bussiness district...kaya nga ang ibang turista diresto agad sila sa Palawan...
yes, you are right. you just barely scratch the surface of BGC. especially the night life and night walk. you will feel the vibe of BGC more in the evening after 8pm.
Malls and cafes? 98% of locals cant even afford Starbucks or Krispy Cremes. That is why BGC still has places selling fish balls and Frird Eggs fkr dinner for those who need jeepneys and habsl habal rides to get to their cubicles in some building.
That's not the real Philippines. That's an illusion. The real Philippines are the places where the waiters, security guards, cooks, boat rowers, sales girls, the construction workers who built them lives, commute, eat, and sleep. In the last 6 years the previous government borrowed 450 billion US dollars to finance projects that promotes the tourism industry such as roads, over passes, skyways with glowing lights and electrification to the direction of formerly farm or beach areas purchased by corporations that operates shopping malls, hotels, resorts and tourism businesses. Tourism is not a bad idea. But it creates only low paying jobs and lesser revenue compared to Agriculture, and production factories and manufacturing Industries that create high paying jobs and bring in the real big revenues. Sadly the previous administration did not build a single irrigation dam nor a single rice and copra drying and storage facilities nor a single farm to market road added as requested by farm cooperative and yet it buried our country to insurmountable debt way below our credit line or borrowing capacity. It's only the present administration that is now struggling very hard to balance and correct the misdeeds of the previous administration and the deficiencies of the other administrations in the past 30 years. Hopefully it's not too late for the Philippines.
Just curious. Can you recommend places a mature adult couple who love to dance and enjoy romantic places to enjoy in BGC that is not full of jumping teens.
Yes that is the beautiful Philippines, Fyi, Philippines is not just having many amazing beaches, spectacular mountains and wonder of nature but also have many beautiful modern cities such as BGC, Makati City, Pasig City, Mandaluyong City, Pasay City, Paranaque city, Quezon City etc..enjoy Philippines guys! God Bless!
Yes we realised this now! Before we only knew Philippines for the beaches and islands but now we've fallen in love with Manila as well. Next time we come back we will explore more!
BGC is not a real city by law definition (i.e. the Local Government Code of the Philippines). BGC is a business district / financial hub in Taguig City. All of the cities you mentioned are comprise "Metro Manila" which is the old name of the NCR.
BGC is just like any other modern cuties you probably find around the world. But,if you really want to see the uniqueness of the country its all about the people and culture ,thousands of beautiful islands and nature in general.
It's true. It definitely felt like we could have been anywhere but we like exploring every side to a country so it's important to see these places 😊 Now we just have to come back and explore some more islands!
Welcome guys to the Philippines, have fun, take care and be safe always. Condo renting tips, much cheaper to rent in Legaspi and Salcedo villages than any part of high end Makati.
Visit BGC at night time because more colorful lights can see, restaurant ,coffee shop, and most of people were come out around 8 pm..Enjoy and Have fun,,
So brave to walk around in Manila during this hot season . Heat stroke is every where so be careful people. Wear sunglasses snd bring your umbrella with you all the time to shade the sun . Thats what locals do here .
bgc is actually more of a lifestlye and residential area! Makati is the financial district of the Philippines! Glad you like it so far! hope yall enjoy your stay!
Reverse culture shock is real. The Philippines is very noisy it's true. Background noise slaps you in the face starting at the airport. Tricycle noise wakes me up in the morning and still goes late at night. Loud karaoke. Everything feels close. What locals say is far is just a few minutes walk. Humidity is another. My sweat drips from my head to my face and clothes. My hair is wet with sweat and this is in Feb. the coolest month in the Phil. Another is people everywhere. There are always people on the streets walking about, chatting, or just hanging out. The Philippines is a rich sensory experience, high energy especially in big cities within Metro Manila. Crowds everywhere. Another is food. We can eat anything in the Philippines. Local and native, Western food. The range of food choices there is huge. Lastly Filipinos are very open and friendly, easy-going and casual.
There is a Museum of Natural history in Manila near Chinatown. That was one of the must go place. Not much bloggers go there as malls are the no. 1 things to do recommended in Manila.
Manila seems to be an underrated tourist city but it has changed a lot from a bad image...MetroManila is now one of the emerging tourist destination...n as a matter of fact the Philippines has been voted to be the Best Cruise Destination of 2024...n compared to other cities, Manila is one of the friendliest n safest tourist city in the world...Manila, or rather the Philippines has become a very popular destination of foreign vloggers....
Yes I'd agree with this. I think many people when visiting the Philippines just skip past Manila on their way to the islands, but we think its a great place to add on 😊 Philippines is not just about the islands, and Manila really surprised us with how much there is to do and see
Hi guys how’s you going ? Watching your RU-vid channel from Australia but I’m originally from manila . Welcome to the Philippines . Hope you enjoy your stay . Cheers !!!
Makati is the first business and financial district followed by BGC(2nd) then Mandaluyong Ortigas then Pasay based on developments. international and local companies and businesses are popping up in those areas
Posher areas= well pampered dogs. Unfortunately, outside of those areas, there are a lot of strays. BGC is like rose-coloured glasses to the realities of what is really going on in the Philippines. I am just an advocate for saving strays. Sorry for bursting your bubble a little bit. 😅 There are good, bad and ugly things in every country of course. Please enjoy your time here. 😊👍
Oh not bursting our bubble at all. We have lived in Africa and we're also very aware that there are differences in the areas. Our comment was to those peoppe who do pamper their dogs etc. 🙂
And there are always those who point out the bad and the ugly of a place, as if there is one place that is actually perfect! Why should we just let people to discover anything on their own? If they encountered ugliness then so be it. You might say I'm trying to hide reality, but hey tell me where or what place there is that is perfect?!
@@samuellim-uj5ko i apologise if my words offended you in any way. i never intended that. i have lived in several countries in the world (including philippines) to understand that no country is all roses. not one. i have been guilty in the past of turning a blind eye when seeing strays in my neighbourhood. it is easier to do that but it doesn't mean it is the right thing to do, is it? i'm just saying most of these vloggers come to the country to highlight the best of the best (which is great). but it is also important to highlight the not so great. and animal strays is one of the biggest problems in the country. you might've been desensitised by it, seeing it on a daily basis. that's fine. no judgement here. but turning a blind eye to the issue (guilty here) isn't the solution. for my part, i could do a lot more. i could donate more to organisations that take in these animals, i could volunteer at shelters. when i am back in the philippines, i hope to do that. that is a promise i made to myself.
@@joc7996 well I do wish vloggers would troop to your own country, and make a sensation on how bad your country is.. Highlighting all the undesirables, let's see if it won't matter to you.
@@samuellim-uj5ko hi, kamusta ka na? frankly, the more they (vloggers) expose the more realistic issues, the better. you want me to list out the problems the country i currently live in have? i'll be open for a conversation. please don't be salty. my comments were never directed at you. this is the last time i will respond back. i am old and weary. and have better things to do.
Philippines is now building a city within a city. More are coming to be finished every year Even in the big cities like Cebu and Davao, Cagayan de Oro and others. They are on right track to beautify, and business is booming anywhere. Building constructions can be seen anywhere even in small towns We hope the government continue to remove hanging cables and in power in the streets and other eyesores Bring the illegal houses around to a place good for them to live happily and with their works and businesses is present . God bless peace around the world. We are world, save our places to live anywhere on earth . Stop the wars that causes so much people in pain, hungers and discomfort. Leaders must act now before its too late.
I am so glad that they have this option in Manila. I thought that by moving to PI that I was going to miss out on the Venice mall in Las Vegas but now have that option there. 👍
Hello happy family enjoy explore beautiful GBC and ride condola vanice grand canal Italy in Manila and enjoy the food trip it's more fun in my country Philippines god bless stay safe I'm new new your chanel
well-taken cared of dogs depend on where you are in Manila. it's BGC, it's a posh area so naturally, animals are gonna have owners that can afford to take care of them well, but if you go to poorer areas, stray dogs are everywhere. even dogs in some average household/neighborhood would normally be caged and would only let out if it's bath time or if they need to go to the bathroom. in some homes, dogs are not caged and they have the free roam of the house. walking dogs outside posh areas are not really a thing because they are just let out in the streets and they are called or they come back on their own to eat. some people who don't let their dogs out freely, for one reason or another, still walk their dogs though...
best time to explore BGC is during nighttime bcoz its too hot during daytime. That’s why you will see more people in BGC at nighttime because of the hot weather at daytime
Ooooh that's hard. They are SO different! Thailand is maybe more "nice" but Kenya is a place where you can experience things that people only dream of! They both are very special places to us ❤️
