There was a time when gay men actually defined what it was to be "masculine". Rock Hudson, Richard Chamberlin, Randolph Scott etc. Today you've got to have a fabulous lisp and makeup skills, or you're not welcome in the tribe. ...and yes, I'm gay, no lisp, no fashion sense.
I don't care about his personal life! He is a god giving TALENT AND NOBODY CAN COMPARE! He had been giving us his gifted talent for decades and when you hear your songs it does feel like time has never passed. Please keep singing forever to us Barry! love you much
@@annettebohl901 By not seeing him married I dont know, kind of had my doubts. Or pictures with more woman. But i try looking at him as the artist. He has great songs. The personal Barry Manilow i leave on the side
My son took me to Vegas in March (2019) to see his last tour. He was amazing! The show didn’t last near long enough! But it was so worth the drive there! I shopped in the Manalow store and got some souvenirs. Best night I’ve had in a long long time! I’ve been a fan since 1978 - I’m 71! Still a fan club member as well! My kids think I’m senile! 🤪😜🤪😬
You have to hear this my name is now Copa!! I was watching my niece she was a premature baby and did not like to sleep and spit up Any formula so on my day off I would go to give my sister a break, I would put her on my shoulder and hold her firmly and put music on!! Of course from Barry Manalow would come on! Sing Copa Cabana by 5 month old again there day off my sister went to shower and I put her on changer and started to walk away to grab something for her and I heard “Copa Copa” it was her! At 5 months old no less!!

I’ve seen Barry in Vegas at his show at the Hilton a few years ago with my partner. He really put on a great show. I was hoping he would sing Weekend in New England, but I loved all the rest of the songs he sang. You know, his lyrics to the songs he wrote are so beautiful and touching. Especially, Weekend in New England. He wrote that song about a man. Most people that are yearning to be with the man they love, go to a bar and get wasted and depressed. Barry takes that raw, deep yearning energy and puts his feelings to music. He truly has an incredible gift for music.
I have years of special memories of. Barry’s concerts starting from my first at Blenheim palace so exiting As Every other one has been .He writes the songs & we his fans hold the memories. Sweet Heaven We love you BARRY MANILOW.
I saw him at the Pontiac Silverdome with my daughter…We had nose bleed seats & he must have sent his “people” to get us “nosebleeders” & brought us down onto the floor so we could see him. How fabulous was that! Then we also saw him in Windsor at Caesar’s Windsor Casino. He’s so talented. I loved him since “I Write the Songs”…’75 I think when I was doing my Student Teaching at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan (just outside of Pontiac).
I first saw Barry on an HBO special in the late 70s and loved his style and voice. Doesn't hurt that his songs are classics. Low point had to be on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show last year right after he exited his closet and that patronizing *ss Fallon gives him a kiss on the cheek after his performance. Anyone else and it would have been a handshake. Sad to see some stars grow old.
Anytime Barry was anywhere close to our home within 4 hours...we would go see him.My young daughter is a closet Barry Manilow Fan.She LOVES going to his shows.
