Manimahesh Parikrama Jot is a pass separating two of the face stands at a height of 4710 meters ( 15452 feet) adjacent to Manimahesh Kailash Peak. It is difficult trek too and the last leg of this trek requires superhuman effort.
One Can start this trek from both Hadsar or Kugti Village. Only recommended for seasoned trekkers. Parikrama means circumambulation of the Manimahesh Kailash peak.
Manimahesh Parikrama is a route which covers Manimahesh Kailash & Lake with round trip via Kugti village and back journey via Gourikund and Dhancho. This route also covers the Famous Temple of ancient Chaurasi Temples & Goddess Brahmani Mata at Bharmour with Kartik temple and Mata Marali Temple at Kugti.

Day 1 Chamba to Bharmaur

FAQ's
1). How to Reach
Pathankot is the nearest Rail Head & Chamba is well connected by road to Delhi & Pathankot. From Pathankot, one can reach Chamba via bus or hire taxi till Bharmaur.
2). Places must visit in & around
Bharmani Devi Temple, Bharmaur, Chaurasi Temple Bharmaur, Kartikeya Swami Temple (locally known as Kelang Vajir Temple) & Murali Devi Temple at Kugti, Hanumanshila Alyas - the base camp, Kamal Kund near Manimahesh Kailash Parvat, Holy Manimahesh Lake and one can also visit Mahakali Banni Mata Temple, Banni near to Dhakog or Tundah.

3). Distance, Guides, and Porters
Total Distance of Parikrama is almost 60 km. One who doesn't have experience of mountain trekking and new to the area must hire Guide/ Porter. Guides & Porters can be hired from Bharmaur/ Hadsar or Kugti Village or one can what's app us at 73800-87934.
4). Where to stay.
During Yatra/ Pilgrimage Season you will get plenty of options to stay at Hotel/ Guest House or Home Stay in Bharmaur. In Kugti you've to be dependent on locals for home stay & they charge for this. Must negotiate. Alyas the base camp has very limited space to accommodate people so be careful while going there. At Manimahesh, no need to ask this question you could get many options.
5). Hike Difficulty
From Kugti it's an easy walk around 7-8 km after that difficulty level increases step by step and further till the top of Jotnu Pass/ Jot/ Manimahesh Pass it's difficult to hike and requires superhuman efforts to climb and trek down till half to the Kamal Kund or till the end of Boulder Zone.
6). Who can go
Any person with Mountain Trekking experience can do it but more than 50 years & less than to 15 might face some problems.
7). Food
Food is easily available at every stop or if you're hiring Guide/ Porter then you don't need to worry.
8). Water
Drinking water is the must have thing with you during mountain trekking expedition and for Manimahesh Parikrama Yatra Trek you've to be very careful because after the base camp you're going to find drinking water till Kamal Kund so carry at-least two bottles whenever you start in the morning for each day and fill them every time wherever you find water for drinking.
9). Cost
I'm a very budget traveler I never travel for luxury or leisure. including fooding, accommodation & transportation the whole trip costs me over INR 5 thousand.
10). Things to carry
Backpack with Rain-cover, Trekking/ Hiking Pole, Full Sleeves T-shirt - 2, Wind & Waterproof jacket, Poncho or Rain suit, Trekking shoe with Ankle Support & with good grip, Warm Cap, two pairs of warm Socks and cotton socks and most important always carry biscuits, energy bars, wafers with you for every mountain trekking expedition.
