manipulating formulas is one of those things that once you get it, it you get. Once you get it, a lot of other entry-level math-based science classes, like physics or chemistry, are FAR easier. You need to be taught it right, though. Too many teachers use crutches like the triangle to make it easier for students, but it ends up being just that, a crutch that will hurt you eventually. you taught this perfectly.
Omg. I am doing maths higher level and I have issue with 2 things. Manupulation of formulae and algebric fractions. I always forget what to do. Manupulation I found it confusing to swap V's and D's around. Now I know it's not swaping, it's making it on it's own

I just got to Trigonometry in HL maths. I always got confused between CosX = 40/80 Cos 40 = X/80 Cos 40 = 80/X But thanks to you it's no longer an issue and I can answer almowt every formula question. It all started here 11th grade (5th year) Higher Level... I seriously cannot thank you enough

I'm from Bangladesh and here teachers don't even show the real stuff ( eliminating by deciding etc ) they jst show us left to right - there it goes just turn it in the opposite way or something like that , which I feel isn't correct and doesn't work for manyyyyy of the other formulas ! Tysm for explaining the real stuff to us ! Helped me a lot . Probably solved one of prblm that I've been going through while doing physics and math 💗
I wish I had a teacher like this when I was in high school, people in 1st world countries don't know how lucky they are to have a competent education system. My high school teacher tried her best but she was not suitable material to teach physics and she eventually killed of my interest in the subject.
Sir, i couldn't understand the bit in 5:12 when you got rid of the 1/2 why did you multiply both sides by 2, and the divided the two by 1/2? Please explain this bit and thank you for the video.
I need to get "m" isolated, so that means moving everything else to the other side. We follow the two guiding ideas of "do the opposite mathematical operation" and "if you do it to one side, do it to the other." Since 1/2 really means I'm dividing by 2 on the right side, I did the opposite and multiplied by 2 (and did it to both sides).
You need to understand that there is no way I could make a video that shows how to manipulate every formula for every variable. I'm just trying to show some general guidelines that can be applied in many situations. For the last formula you would need to use a quadratic, unless something cancels (like if initial velocity is zero).
