Meitei never had any problem with any community in Manipur. Kukis came from Burma and settled down in Manipur. But they never had the sense of belonging to Manipur. They were never Indianised. Now, they claim that the areas occupied by them as their ancestral land. This is not true. Only about 50 years back Kukis started having sedentary way of life. They are found in all the states of NE except Arunachal Pradesh because they were nomadic. Wherever they settled, they displaced the indigenous people and constantly fight with them. Their history of about 200 years in Indian Sub-continent is replete with these details of wars and they are proud of fighting these wars. For them, those who fought with the indegenous people are Freedom Fighters. This time too, they had problem with Govt of Manipur. Instead of fighting with the government, they started attacking Meitei community and the Meitei retaliated. Kukis started cleansing Meiteis from Churachandpur. They started burning the Meitei houses and kicked out Meitei from their dominated areas. Meiteis then retaliated in Imphal valley. Chronology of the conflict must be understood. Till date, Kukis are on offensive mode and Meiteis only retaliate. The Kuki Tribe must never be trusted. There is no truth in Kuki version of the incident. Find out the truth by studying the 200 year old history of Kuki. Find out their hidden agenda and then trust them if they are true.

The Kachins and the Kukis of Burma were extensively trained by the British during WW2 and they were settled in small pockets as guard pockets against the Japanese imperial forces. They were nomads, but now are almost entirely converted to Christianity. Now , the poppy fields are how they survive in the hills. The most disruptive lot of the NE. They are always funded by the Vatican.

Most of the kuki communities are refugee(coming from Myanmar).....they created lots of demographic disturbances and they deforested many acre in the hilly area to cultivate poppy plants (which is link with golden triangle).....they destroyed in every sector [i.e. population,environment,terrorism,crime...].So, Manipur will peace or normalcy after the implementation of NRC and not to extend SoO with KUKI MILITANTS....we are the indigenous of Manipur, we want integrity,we want peace and we are strongly opposed to any kind of demands related to separation/divide in Manipur......

Nice explanation Ms. Want to correct only one mistake. Meiteis don't have missiles. So we meiteis don't fire missiles towards them. Kuki sides drop bombs from drones and fire missiles killing several people. Yet Indian govt is silent. If fighting is against Pak or chin. For election. They will make so many statements. You are correct, but you need to update your knowledge. If the same thing happened to you in your same state in your same city and neither police nor army is saving your people,children, women,even senior citizens so what you will do. Will you have faith in the judiciary, media, Army anything? Think about if it happens with you then what you will do in that situation? Then comment on these type of sensitive cases. Sorry my language is a little bitter, frustrated. But I'm watching all these very closely. I'm also somewhere from south-eastern state of India but after coming here staying here for last 1.5 yr I cleared a lot about all these politics. Before coming here I loved my army, I loved and respected my government. But not now I'm sorry, I loose faith on Assam Rifles. Today when some ladies are requesting for help a captain office closed his ear to even listen their problem. They are crying, begging for your help against these militants and that captain is playing a joke. Is it a joke?, is it a comedy? And this is not the only point which hits me up several similar things happen in the past also and now also. Yeah I also agree that there should not be any army of a state or a particular community why this is only applicable on Meitei? Why is it just opposite to Kuki? Think then reply..
