Manipur is divided into communities and cleaved along ethnic lines with increased militarisation of society. The state has been helpless and a mute bystander. Armed forces are plagued with fatigue, suspicion and distrust due to controversial past. Insurgent groups have been revived due to the divisions and social tensions. The fire of ethnic differences continues to rage and citizens have lost hope with no confidence in the administrative and judicial framework.

Totally failed security arrangements in Manipur although 60k central forces deployed as leders are not sincere. What is useful to check among civilians after attackers had gone?
