Interview, dans un café, du guitariste gitan Manitas de PLATA, à propos de son nouveau statut de vdette internationale, suite au concert qu'il a donné en décembre 1967 au CARNEGIE Hall de New York. Déjà tout simple à l'époque, Manitas...souriant, simple, sans complexes .. Jouer dans la caravane ou à l'Olympia, pour lui c'est pareil.. :) J'adore :)

Vous avez raison,notre époque est trop laide,..c est d un égoïsme..du chacun pour soi,alors la fête des voisins,ça me fait bien rire..et plus tard,ce sera la guerre de l eau.. sécheresse à répétitions etc...

It sure was Picasso, after hearing him play he was so shocked in awe of what he was heaering he started painting on his guitar while he played saying he was worth more than anything he (picasso) could do.

The drawings of the two faces on this guitar were made by Bernard Buffet. Picasso drew the man on the horse on this guitar. And he once signed another guitar of Manitas and drew a small torero on it.
