You installed that lower on backwards!!!!! The arch is on the back side of the fork!!!!! ;)

Son of a bitch! I knew something felt off hahahaha! A lot of people have thought I’ve installed my fork backwards out on the trails

Looks right to me at the end of vid its supposed to be at rear/baxkwards.
@f1hotrod527
@f1hotrod527 Год назад
@@dandyer8351 yeah, I was joking. It looks strange with the arch at the back as if it was installed wrong.

does the travel adjustment change the axle to crown measurement or just restrict the amount the fork can compress?
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ Год назад
Unless I’m awful with a tape measure reducing travel does reduce the axle to crown!

TKolbo please if you help me and save me watch the whole vídeo ... does this alter the effective fork lenght or is just internal travel wich reduces? Thanks!

It looks like it reduces overall fork length

Once I learn the process and know it well enough to teach others I will! Learning it is a goal this winter

Great video. Are you planning to do a full review on the fork?
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ 3 года назад
I actually do have an overview and first impressions video up on my channel. I plan on doing a review after getting some trail time on it. Right now I’m still waiting for my locals trails to be free of snow and dry up, they are unbearably muddy in spots without snow
@Gillyske

@@Tkolbo_ looking forward to the trail review. Especially thoughts against RS and Fox if you have them
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ 3 года назад
Definitely! I’m going to attempt a bracketing tuning video to get it dialed in settings wise as well. I’m hoping the weather we’ve been having holds up and the trails can open in a couple weeks

Do the travel reducer spaces come in the box with forks or they seperate

Does that polished silver finish glare when the sun hits it blinding you?
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ Год назад
Not at all. It’s not actually polished so no glare!
@frankschock9981
@frankschock9981 Год назад
@Tkolbo_ I wish that was the standard color and finish for the Mezzer or atleast an option still. Looks so much better than the matte black with chrome stickers. The new Mattoc has a polished silver CSU that might glare

How do you like your mezzer, what is better / worse than other forks you had before?
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ 3 года назад
Well I enjoy that it is really damn light, and has 37mm stanchions. I haven't had enough time on the trail with it yet (thanks to winter) to really get a good feel of it compared to other forks, but my first impressions are that it is really really rad! I'll keep you updated on the fork as I get to ride it though!
@pauls3616
@pauls3616 3 года назад
Good video. I am thinking about getting a Mezzer fork. I would drop it down to 140mm travel. Do you notice any difference in ride quality after reducing travel? Thanks.
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ 3 года назад
Yo, so I’ve only ridden it at 160 now, but I’m sure it’ll ride just the same! Except at 140mm it’ll be even more stiff and predictable which is awesome! Also it’s important to note that the air pressure recommendations printed on the fork are for it at 180mm travel. So there are different recs for reduced travel. I put a link to Hayes site for that in the description! At 140mm of travel this fork will seriously slay! Thanks for watching and for the question!
@pauls3616
@pauls3616 3 года назад
Thanks for replying. I like the idea of having a fork that can serve as a 140 mm trail fork or do a travel change and have a 170 mm enduro fork for a day at the bike park. Now I just need to find a Mezzer.
@Tkolbo_
@Tkolbo_ 3 года назад
@@pauls3616 Absolutely agree! Do you need 27.5 or 29" and what offset?!?
@pauls3616
@pauls3616 3 года назад
29” with 44mm offset. The 51 offset seems to be more readily available.
@Tkolbo_

I mean I just watched this whole thing, I don't have a Manitou fork, AND there was no metal song. Imma have to unsub I'm afraid. :P Seriously though, yes please more tech vids. You know what you're doing and explain it well. "One day I'll be pro" is a perfectly valid sign off, btw.
