Recorded in front of a live audience on December 20, 1981 when Manly Hall was 80 years old. Hall always gave a lecture on the Sunday before Christmas each year, with a focus on the meaning a spirit of the holiday. He spoke often on how anyone can gain from the kindly thoughts of doing good to all persons and cultivating the spirit of giving - regardless of any religious belief of association.
In this talk, Hall draws from many spiritual traditions, including the Hopi and Zuni from the American Southwest. The transcript of this lecture has been published under the title, Lecture Note 297.
