Thank you for the kind words. The Thumb studs work great depending on whether the knife is suited to them. You really want them further back the rear part of the edge but not all knives lend themselves to this. I have never had an issue with a thumb stud working loose and I use the cheaper ebay jobbies.
Hi i was looking at getting one of these off your review so i checked out HH and they have this model cheaper and with to say about the blade!! (The slip joint is solid with a three stop opening giving your fingers real security! 14C28N stainless is an excellent steel which will perform to the highest level and is easier to sharpen.) They have a model with different scales which has the CPM-S-90V but a bit more money!
I am a fan of 14c28 and would certainly not feel like I was carrying less. Yes s90v will last a very long time in terms of edge retention but the trade of is a toothier edge and harder to resharpen.
I have this Manly Wasp but don’t use it as much as other knives I have because it is not as easy to open two handed, but I like the thumb stud you have on yours. Where did you get it please?
