Imagine how difficult it must have been to be SO careful as to not give away anything but about his character from the first two episodes, and they did a LOT of interviews! Of course, we had some foreshadowing from when Mae tried to attack him in E2 and he easily outmaneuvered her, but we only realized that in hindsight.
I dont know if it was one of their first interviews where he had to lie. But there is an interview where he is lying and Amandla is next to him just dying laughing. 😅
If I was facing an opponent with a weapon capable of cutting me in half like its butter, I'm not going to stick my fists anywhere near them and nor would the opponent. The acolyte was still interesting but the "pose for the camera" qimir did when killing that padawan was no better
@@rattlynanimations7694 "If I was facing an opponent with a weapon capable of cutting me in half like its butter, I'm not going to stick my fists anywhere near them and nor would the opponent. " - you do realize there were several fightwhere no lightsaber involved, right? Where you need to go hand to hand either without lightsaber or in a weapon deadlock position. "The acolyte was still interesting but the "pose for the camera" qimir did when killing that padawan was no better" - The pose is what you call 'art'. the jedi order is on their peak/golden era. there is supposed to be art involved heavily in the practical moves. the OG starwars doesn't have 'art/pose' heavily because the 'art' is lost with the jedi order. kudos for the choreography team to see in such details. they combine the art, hand to hand, and the practical moves and get rid of the prequel's sword twirling bs moves. it is closer to what i expected, a force user of hand to hand master combat.
@@begobolehsjwjangan2359 So you use "art" to defend the acolyte as an argument but then criticize the "twirling" from prequels? LMAO Disney fans lack coherence, the prequels are peak, this show is garbage.
@@idontwant2beasoldiermama241 "So you use "art" to defend the acolyte as an argument but then criticize the "twirling" from prequels?" - yes, why? it's a matter of an individual preference. i'm a martial artist. i practice Silat in which the starwars universe call it Teras Kasi. there is useful 'art' and there is useless moves. twirling is a useless move, especially with lightsaber, one could get slashed in two and ended the fight before it start just because something disrupt the twirling. what i learn in a real fight is, never twirl or spin or show your back to your opponent unless you really really had to. it gives me anxiety everytime a jedi twirling his/her lightsaber. and i'm not disney fans. i pretend starwars sequel doesnt exist, including pacific rim 2, wreck it ralph 2, and FF X-2. again, whoever at the helm of the Acolyte's choreography team knows his thing.
There’s also one where the interviewer tells Charlie and Dafne how it was like using the sabers and pardons Manny for a bit while they answer. I suspected he knew how to use a saber with his expressions and body language. What a great reveal. This reminds me of that interview where the Quicksilver actor Evan Peters had to lie about ever returning. Y’know the other actors like Cyclops was also really nervous I wonder if we’ll see them in Deadpool & Wolverine.
It sucks that at the very least, we’re not gonna see Qimir story continue in live action. Him and Sol were the only two things that kept me invested the whole show
@@DanyTheMe I don’t mean to ever be a hater on Star Wars, but there is no chance this gets a second season. The fan and critical backlash was the worst I’ve ever seen for any project.
@@diegoprodriguez youtube revies, social media comments, and rotten tomato scores don't decide that stuff. Pre signed contracts, streaming figures, and merch sales do. The haters and enjoyers were both watching and statistically, more people stream than pirate. The legacy characters involved with this project and the level of stunts training they gave the actors are big indicators that Disney was at least 2 seasons in on this project from the start. I see plenty of collector pages either importing the black series toys for this show from China or complaining that the US release got delayed and how they can't wait to grab em.
@@DanyTheMe I just think Disney is gonna be wasting money making the fandom of Star Wars unhappy and not garnering interest of the general public in any good way if they go along with a second season. I tried to like this show, but outside of the two examples I gave, Sol and Qimir, every other aspect kinda fell flat.
@@diegoprodriguez I liked it and have spoken with plenty who also did. Those of us talking about the show like this in comment sections still make up a small percentage of the actual audience. The idea that "the entire star wars fandom is up in arms!" Is manufactured, partly from a small group of right wing chuds who want to make everything a political issue, but mostly just from social media outlets who make money from farming outrage clicks and comment section discourse.
It's okay, that worked out real well for the rest of the humans like myself who are into dudes. Hey, you lot have your Padme in her skintight fit and Leia bikini, we have shirtless Hayden and Manny Jacinto. It's a win-win.
