Exactly western secularism( divorce between religion and state) is different than Indian/Gandhian secularism ( giving all religions equal treatment) . Mr Manoj says participating in other communities' cultural activities is secularism is not at all true. Secondly, yes 42nd amendment 1976 added the words secular but that doesn't mean that secularism was already not a part of Constitution. Most of the fundamental rights(eg: article 14 , 15 , 16,17, 21(right to life and personal liberty), 25,26,27,28,29,30) many dpsps like article 44 uniform civil code, prohibition of slaughter of milch cattles and many more. 42nd amendment 1976 , though a move with political motivation was not responsible for any structural changes in government institutions that benefited any religious group.

संविधान में सेकुलर शब्द का मतलब सिर्फ प्रशाशनिक व्यवस्थाओं के लिए है, परंतु हिन्दुओ को इसकी परिभाषा इस प्रकार पढ़ाई गयी कि बेचारे अपने धर्म से ही कट बैठे और गंगा जमुना तहजीब के जाल में फस बैठे। संवैधानिक सडयंत्रो को उजागर करिये, जिस नेहरू ने हमेशा देशभक्तों के विरुद्ध सडयंत्र किये हो उसके द्वारा संविधान निर्माण प्रक्रिया को दूषित करना कोई बड़ी बात नही रही होगी। जिस भारतीय दंड संहिता 1860 के अनुसार भगत सिंह जैसे वीर बलिदानीयो को फांसी दी गई थी वही दंड संहिता भारत में आज भी लागू है, न्यायपालिका 90% से ज्यादा अंग्रेजो के द्वारा बनाएं नियमों के माध्यम से भारतीय जनता को न्याय देने का प्रयास करती हैं इसीलिए न्यायपालिका फेल साबित हो रही है। ऐसा नहीं कि 26 जनवरी 1950 को भारत में पहली बार प्रशासनिक प्रक्रियाओ व समाज को नियंत्रित करने के लिए कुछ नियम बने हो, सनातन संस्कृति में हजारों साल पहले से ही समाज को संरक्षित संगठित और संवर्धित करने के लिए हजारों नियम कानून पहले से ही मौजूद थे जो विभिन्न किताबों के माध्यम से आज भी हमारे बीच है। वेद, उपनिषद, पुराण उन्ही के उदाहरण है। अमर बलिदानियों के असंख्य बलिदानों से मिली आजादी को उनके सिंद्धान्तों व मूल भारतीय भावना से युक्त नियमो को लागू करके ही पूर्ण माना जायेगा अमर बलिदानियों को नमन

Secular is a word used for state and other stuff which is not related to religion, for example- a 'secular music' means any music not related to religious songs (bhajans, hymns etc.) or the decision to keep N number of nuclear missiles will be called a 'secular policy'. But you are right that it is not used for a person. In fact, the word 'secularist' is used for a person who does not discriminate a person on the basis of religion, caste, creed etc. But sometimes people mix the word 'secular person' with secularist. Hence, the confusion in this video.
