Beautifully ridden, although I think the horse will have "naturally" collected himself MORE if the rider collected himself more. By that I mean, sitting taller (and deeper) in the saddle, opening the chest more, shoulders DOWN and slightly closing the shoulder blades together. This is what dancers do (I am a trained classical dancer) to "collect " themselves. By doing this in canter for example the horse mirrors what you do without any other aid being required such as pulling or kicking! Also there is a bit too much bounce from the rider in the saddle in canter. The seat should not leave the saddle but "swing" with the horses back, the swing coming from the lower back whilst the upper back grows tall right through the nape of the neck. One needs to "divide " up how each section of our own torso moves, to be able to absorb the motion whilst sitting in balance and as one with the horse in all its gaits. Not easy....but really helps the horse to collect himself without recourse to the reins etc!!
