the lord needs a set of armor for when he's visiting the battlefield!

It looks awesome, but still a bit limited. And does hiding troops work? Surprise attacks from the forest?

Can you build a giant medieval city like London or Paris? I mean like a real BIG medieval city.?

@@smachdos1593 id imagine that stuff like that will take time. this is probably a long term project, like HOI. We'll receive updates every six months or so. Eventually it might become the game we all dream it will be. But make sure you dont get too hyped and dream too big

It looks good but Jesus Christ, there’s a 6 unit cap, unlimited ammo, no cavalry, no fortifications. I’m excited to see what the dev has in store but it most certainly not “years ahead.”

@@hiyascoob5969 while I agree with you, consider this banger of a game is made by just one developer. To put out such a quality game (albeit with its limitations) by himself is quite an achievement entire teams of developers haven't been able to do for multiple reasons.

@@hiyascoob5969 this footage is literally early access, when the game gets to its next stage, it will definitely be a lot more polished. i don't think you have any idea how early in stages of development this game is

​@@hiyascoob5969 also, it's coming out in early access. Most AAA titles we're comparing it to, like Total War, are full releases. The single dev has already suggested cavalry and ammo are things coming down the road, maybe larger armies might be too.

@@hiyascoob5969 It is a period-set city-builder (or rather village/town-builder) in the first place, as the developer says himself, and the battles are an addition to that. It is not the main purpose of the game to do battles. It is not meant to compete or compare with the Total War series, also because it plays on a much smaller scale: one village, maybe a small town with a few hundred to one thousand inhabitants of which you are the lord. This is not on some grand level, where you are the king or emperor of a whole country or empire macro-managing. Here you get to choose per house where you want it to be build, instead of just looking at a map of whole regions.

With mercenaries you can add 3 more units to your army i think. Its 6 max of militia and the rest woth mercenaries but they cost money

Not a direct competitor but we are almost there. This looks great and the unit cards remind me of "age of charlemagne"

i dont think so for the EA laucnh. but sieges according to the Q&A is planned so im guessing down the road yes

@@Selkath_Tholotian Idk about that man, most medieval battles were of similar size, especially considering we're playing as a baron. Barons never had access to thousands of troops.

I hear you ​@@sebaaullador1292. But I disagree. If a unit has 1000 each then you will love it or dislike it as well? ... There must be option on maybe stronger machines to wanna have like a civil war against Barons which used to have lesser than 500 each soldiers or like a Campaign that many barons lords assembled their troops and that combination number was way larger than thousands. With your opinion and insult to this guy above so you say a very old and now ancient RTS that Empire Total War envied and copied in somehow 'Imperial Glory' about Napoleonic Era that in Campaign had minor factions and rebels.. Well you say that in that scale the things would be a mess?? No dude. If you want to be a Strategic Mind you set your formations you enhance your units hiring generals that know their work and you don't have a mess even if you have on a field 50.000 on your side against 100.000 of the enemy. It is personal view of how you see the things as a Commander of your army. Me for example in that new Game I want the max possible unit space can be provided to this Game hardware store lol.. ODC of loosing or winning. I just want realism and spectate like we have on Total War and Bannerlord. Eitherwise I would play only age of empires 3 or A.O. or the pixels of battle simulator which are all clowns like I play Rome 1.. A Game like this need an immersion to what it promotes and except building and city life and management and resources and sandbox customization I suppose and nice technical systems and visuals I wait and huge armies pictures if not here on Mods then to have more like a Campaign of Kings than civil amongst Lords and Barons.

Looks like they're not too damaging gameplay-wise, but they might be easy to abuse once people get more familiar with the mechanics. Then again, cavalry might shake that up if the AI can use them effectively.

They have unlimited ammo the bar is the stamina and morale

XD It seems that this game has a great foundation, imagine if it was mod-able by the community as well? You're on to a winner with this game

Yes but the unit sizes do get slightly larger than the video, I’ve seen some battles where the general unit had 18 and both the infantry units had 36 as well, so this is still not quite max size for an army. It is under it by about 40 men.

Mercenaries are not counted to the limit at the time
