While visiting my grandpa in the nursing home they had one of these in the main lobby. It was so cool to come watch the birds and very relaxing. It makes me want to build one for my birds someday. 😍
that look lovely - like an alternative to a tropical fish aquarium. The birds lave lots of room to fly and exorcist - better than keeping them in a cage. Look really natural and lots of things for the birds to do. Its a good mix of bird species too....they are not going to fight with each other.
For the past 15 years we have had 6 parakeets living in our house without cage, I built a place for the with a tree and a clear fiberglass bottom and that's it. The first 4 years we had a big cage but later, since that cage had no top, we figure why bother? they all poop more or less in same places, so it is easy to clean, we vacumm their first floor every day, and all is clean and we enjoy them tremendously. one dies and is replaced right away with same color. but no babies in all these years!
The birds we use and the maintenance, (we clean everything out every 4 to 8 weeks), along with the way we set up the feed and water system, makes a difference so that it doesn't smell. The smell is the result of wet feed, mildew, sprouting seeds etc.
You've only provided a single perch for how many birds? In the wild, they would have MANY perches of all sizes to choose from, and you place 1 in the middle of cage. And aside from the fake vines on the walls, if you wanted a REAL natural environment, you would cut real fresh plants for them and place them all other the cage, like with my parrots, I will cut the some fresh REAL gum tree branches. It not only looks good, but is very accessible. :)
You can't just put any life branches with any birds, since it could be harmful for them. I don't care for the plastic vine either, but people need to research it before they stick anything in their cages.
Every body likes to keep birds his own way. Birds looks happy and breeding and looks clean Well done I have seen lots bird keeper. They have lots birds but very dirty cages We should all encourage eachother.
@BlackbirdGirl72 wow you said this the day i working with my co-worker feather friends activist group. By all meas i dont like how there displaying the birds and god knows what happen to the birds after but still better then most cages. i have a aviary if you consider that a cage but there a opening :P. birds dont always sing for the urge to sex. Some give warning some organizing a raid, some like mine sing evetime i play on my piano and even joins in O_O better singer then my friend i always
I'm not convinced that birds can be behind a glass. Your concept is getting there, but you are still very far from what bird owners really look for. If you want to create an elegant bird aviary you must meke it look natural. This looks extremely artificial. Besides, when having a wall with texture easy for the birds to perch it will be eventually full of poop and definetely not looking good at all.
Hello you have a beautiful set up but I was just wondering how do you stop the bird's from breaking there necks off the glass windows? Because when bird's get starled they will fly straight into it because they can't see it.
Thank you, you have a very good question. During the set up of the aviary and first releasing the birds into their new home rarely does one of them fly into the window. We take precautions such as limiting activity outside the aviary so there isn't movement to scare them. On the times they have flown into a window (it is double strength plex-glass) they might be a little stunned but are usually up flying again quickly. The birds adjust very quickly.
Not being funny but i wouldnt house birds behind glass, My Kak flies into window at any oppertunity after having it a while it still doesnt get it unless its been raining. Its dangerous for birds as they can hurt them seriously hurt themselves Neck and/or back injuries bleeding to brain and fractures to skull. Not only that how much ventilation is there in these things what if sun is beaming can be quite unpleasant the heat behind the glass also looks rather dull nothing birds get bored
to moulting of new feathers. This artificial light is no good for that. Also as they see light differently to us as they see in the ultraviolet spectrum, again, this artificial light is terrible for them. They have no where to go to get away from the light or from each other and since most birds are territorial you will have a problem if you have more than one male in there. Do you know anything about bird welfare. If you were in the UK, this would be illegal as it is cruel in so many ways.
@PikminXOXO But they are in a cage. Just because it isn't made of metal and have bars on it does not mean it is any less if a cage. This is the most unnatural of environments. These birds will fight all the time as they do not have territories because the area is too small. Birds only sing to attract mates and to defend territories neither of which can be done in this cage. Every aspect of a birds' life is governed around the number of hours of light they receive from breeding
Any and all bird lovers I NEED HELP .My girl just bought two Cockatiels (on impulse) and a 1'6"x2" cage.To me thas naimal cruelty, but, since they're in the aparment i want to make their live as comfortable as possible.I have a coat closet in the living room which is 2'wx4'lx9'h.Any suggestions on what type of dirt, sand, grass, plants, lights or any thing in general i can put in it,that would be as close as possible to their natural habitat,or make teir live more enjoyable...THANK YOU
With our service we catch all the birds, trimming their nails and beaks as needed and treating them for mites, then we remove them while we clean and disinfect the inside and treat it to prevent from mites and other parasites. This is done every month to every other month. We highly recommend our service to keep the aviary free of mites and parasites and to keep the birds healthy
Some times when they are first released into the aviary, I have been doing this for almost 16 years and it is very rare. It is plexi-glass, not glass. Thank you for the question
bevyof it was a joke if you've ever seen the windex commercials with the two crows/birds🐦 the glass was so clean they ran into the glass lol your birds are beautiful and they look really happy / comfy in that huge cage you seem like an amazing pet owner . I enjoyed the video btw
This "mansion" is far too small for the amount of birds in there. This is not in the birds' best interests at all. There is nothing for them to do and they are surrounded by glass. Birds are not here for you to exploit. I can't believe you are even doing this as a business. I'm appalled.
@PikminXOXO o right and i meention a open cage is better then a close cage. but this only appies if the bird reconzie it metal home and you. it was funny we went to petco together ;/ though a little gitl called it a kitty =-= then again she look 3-5 ish
@BlackbirdGirl72 still better then other cages :P there one thing you can do is open the door like i do and let them all fly out.... after they get used to there new home and knows that thats there home ;3
I see a couple of branches along with the swing and the greenery for the birds to land on. Too much would inhibit the ability to fly freely. Now for the greenery, not all of us can run outside all year round and cut fresh greenery. There just isn't any other than evergreen so the artificial greenery is a substitute for the lack of fresh. ALSO, I would like to address that this type of aviary is often used in homes for the elderly to bring a little bit of the world to those who can no longer go out to see it themselves. Staff at these homes often do what they can to keep the aviary but it is the responsibility of an outside company to tend to the overall upkeep of the aviary itself (not including the daily feeding routines which staff generally takes care of). These companies to not tend these aviary on a daily or even weekly basis, so fresh greens would be limited. It is a nice aviary. Thank you for sharing.
@sinned2080 hi, we are in Corona, Calif. We cover almost all of Calif. We also have a division that covers other states. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Bev Dormer (888) 756-1693
Magnificent! These lovely creatures live better than we do, lol! I will be getting something along this line for my finches. They are small, timid little birds that do very well in these environments and live a very long life because of the care they receive. Some finches are nearing endangerment status and these home aviary bird-lovers do everyone a great service! Bravo! Well done!
First of all my personal opinion is that your Bird mansion is the best mansion available on net . but have one simple question that as i see your cage is sealed with glass , then how does the bird breathe please reply
ıts fantastıc ındoor bırd house....congratcılatıons..ı have ıdea too but my wıfe ıts nervıs about smellıng ..how dıd you fınd solutıon for that ..ı hope you ll have tıme to answer thank you very much...
I think it's in zoo or as home hobby that regoniced more space captives activity and therr activity As in Japan garden, clean nature and fresh fruit plants, can combined interior design and includes The room gardens placed, light important for all of us farm animals as zoo v as birds uv light or sun
I can't believe all the negative 'know-it-all' comments from people! Why are you even watching this video???? It's obvious that the birds are quite happy in there; comfortable enough to have babies. I have looked at numerous cages, and this one looked the most adequate. Love the design, bevyof! It's one of the best I've seen. Don't let the haters discourage you.
I understand your concern, the unit shown here is 6'6"high, 34" in depth & 6' in length. we include 4 to 5 pair of birds (depending on the kinds of birds), to allow for babies. We suggest servicing the aviaries every month or every 8 weeks so that babies that are old enough can be taken out to protect from overcrowding, and to be aware of the health of the birds
precioso para la vista recien comprado, pero explicame como cojones limpias esas paredes de los excrementos, ademas buena vivienda a todo confor para los piojillos.
It would be better if there are cages/wire mesh like a cage, rather than glass. Safety & breath-ability. With cages, you can talk to them and have fresh air for them. Birds aren't like fish.
I appreciate you expressing your feelings/concerns for the birds. These are built with plexi-glass for the safety of the birds and those watching, the top is constructed with a product much like wire that keeps the birds in but is also open for air. When I'm inside with the birds and the doors are shut I can hear everything outside also those outside can hear everything inside.
