Informative and Entertaining Tour! I believe if you were a History Teacher, more kids would stay in school! Great to see this through your eyes! Cheers!
Great video! I’ve always wondered about the history of those buildings on billionaires row. Beautiful architecture. By the way, it’s okay to say “cool.” 🤷🏽♀️😊😉😁
Maybe time to take a break and refresh , you didn’t seem to enjoy that …perhaps it was your bitterness towards the rich or just needing a different topic, format to try? You just don’t seem happy anymore doing this . And I have watched all your videos , majority of which I enjoyed Take care Tom
Cherubie shattered shattered this town is tough tough tough u got rats on the west side bed bugs uptown, what a mess..this town is in tatters..cherubie shattered shattered...Miss you by the rolling Stones!Says it all?
Spectacular as usual, Tom. I learned a lot. Even though I’m NYC born and raised, I’m not too familiar with the UES. Love the museums, but otherwise too rich for my blood. Thanks to you too, Eric!
Making my first trip to NYC next week and am going to make this walk if I have time, since I'll already be in the area. Thanks for the thorough videos.
3:30 here's something I bet you didn't know, when Stan Lee and Jack Kirby wrote the Avengers, Kirby used this location as reference for Avengers mansion.
I love your videos; I've watched a ton of them. I've never noticed that you say "cool" too often. It's more disruptive to stop and correct yourself each time LOL you definitely don't say it too much imo. Very cool video. Thanks for all your work!
Dude... just say Cool. Ain't nobody caring like that. They're just trying to get under your skin. But that bus pulling up behind... perfect timing. Crack me up 🤣✌🏾
Awww that old lady, first waited because she saw you were filming, but then decided to walk passed slowly anyway, I kinda was afraid you would turn fast and knock her over 😉
Interesting that you mention that Edward S Harkness was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery along with Irving Berlin. Next door to the Harkness mansion is 3 75th Street which was owned by Clarence Mackay whose daughter one cold January day in the 1920s came out of that house to elope with Mr. Irving Berlin. Quite a scandal at that time. The Mackay family also lived in Harbor Hill in Long Island which was no longer exists but it was built by Stanford White who did some other commissions for the Mackay family.
Hey buddy, gonna need to revoke that tour badge you throw around. You forgot about the old Robert PLant mansion that is now the Cartier store...shame on you brah...
Another very fun and informative video. It's like you're there with him on the street. Two years ago my daughter and I had a great day visiting the newly reopened JP Morgan library, sushi lunch (restaurant not at the library) and then going to see "Titanique". (Funny as hell). Just had to share. I come back from Florida whenever I can.
Could R. Livingston Beekman have had any relation to the Livingston who signed the Declaration or Independence or the Beekman's of Beekman hospital fame?
I'm so glad I found your channel! Been watching quite a few of your videos. You keep saying "Cool" 😊 It was funny, because when you were trying not to say ,"cool" I thought to myself you should say groovy...and a minute or two later, you did! 🎉
Hardness had a summer house on along Island Sound in Connecticut. Able to be toured. Harry Payne Whitney was married to Gertrude Vanderbilt, sculptor who started Whitney Museum. She was also Anderson Cooper’s great aunt.
Interesting how most of these are billy pretty slim. Is there a reason for this style of architecture? I’d think New York wasn’t soo packed when these Manson were being built…
So much money to throw around those few blocks. I think that Carlos Slim fr Mexico was not a Slim He probably was a Delgado too. You might be related You forgot to mention That Cooper Hewitt s related to Anderson Cooper. I really enjoyed it You made me laugh. And that's good and cool See ya
Delgadosville...it could happen. Eric good work on getting the details. That last building used to house ICP. Then it got sold. It was fun going inside, also the Neue and Russian. house. Really enjoyed this hike. You make the past come alive. Thank you.
