Hello fellow collectors, I hope everyone is doing well. Today I've got an unboxing of Manta Lab's One Click edition of 2001: A Space Odyssey, which includes the gorgeous one click outer box, a Fullslip edition, and a Double Lenticular edition. Also included is a resin monolith figure that is much heavier then I was expecting. I went back and forth at the time of pre-ordering this at the end of October, because it was not cheap, but I have to say I'm delighted that I decided to get it. It's absolutely brilliant, and the excellent packaging definitely reflects the excellence of the film itself.

Thanks! This video saves me!!! Otherwise, I would be still wondering where the "Monolith Resin Figure" is as I do not prepare to unseal my box.

I love this film but i only have it on blu ray. I'm happy to own the film I'm not bothered about fancy packaging, limited editions etc. My favourite Kubrick film is a clockwork orange i recently picked up the 4k.

It's definitely one I'd say is worth the 4K upgrade if you manage to find it for a reasonable price. It looks absolutely stunning!

Very nice. I'm no big fan of the movie but this edition is splendid. Thanks for the presentation. Nice to put chapters in the video, I keep saying that I should do the same but keep forgeting 😅

How much was it originally? I had to get it on eBay. Saw different pieces and most were bids but this one let me buy outright for Just under £200, still sealed. Like I said before, normally I wouldn't bother but this is my favourite film of all time and I have money saved, so I thought I'd treat myself.

It cost me £152 and that was direct from Mantalab, so £200 isn't too bad considering ebay take over 12% these days. Ah it's the same for me. Usually even for a film that I love I'll opt for just one of the releases, ( the lenticular one more often than not ), but for 2001, it's just such a special film I thought if there is ever a film that deserves more spent on it, it's this one for sure. Ah you just have to treat yourself every now and then!

@@goosesmovies I mean, I have bought collectors box sets before. I have the Kubrick Masterpiece collection and I have a Hitchcock set that has this trophy looking casing and the discs are in these circular tins, like miniature film canisters. I also had the limited edition 60s Batman Blu-ray. I ended up selling it in favour of the regular edition, which takes up much less space. In hindsight, I should've sold it for more or Just got the regular version.. The thing is, I knew the series had never been released before, due to some rights issues and then I happened to see that it had finally been released and I bought it. I wasn't really thinking about it being a limited collectors edition. I Just wanted the series on Blu-ray.

It sounds like you have a bird…? I thought I was losing my mind while I was watching this. I kept thinking I heard a bird, so I’d pause the video and listen - obviously hearing nothing. 😂 Thanks for the unbox video! Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, but I couldn’t wait to see inside!

Haha you're not going crazy, I just had the door to the garden open to try to let a bit more light in. There are a few wild Parakeet's near where I live and they cheerily chirp up a storm. Hope you're as happy with it as I am! I've been busy trying to work out a good place to display it, because it's just too nice to not have out on show.

I snagged the Double Lenticular. Did not like the other stuff enough to pick up the One-Click.

I've never seen this edition before. It looks impressive. Does it play in region 2?

It was only just recently released earlier last week. It's from a premium steelbook company called Manta Lab who have their website at collectong.com Their editions sell out very quickly, so often joining a groupbuy from one of the bluray forums can often be the best way to get your hands on a copy. 4K discs are all region free thankfully, but the bluray's do play on region 2. It's a warner bro's bluray, and they are almost always region free. Thanks so much for watching!

Nice! You'll absolutely love it. The steelbook looks fantastic with the original artwork, and the little monolith is a great display piece. Both editions just come with the exact same things inside, so by opening one you know what you'll get in the other. Also I'm not sure if it came across well on camera, but the big outer box sort of sparkles in the right light, and it looks excellent!
