God bless you, son. I grew up on this stuff - my mother'd play this record around the house. I gotta go see her and play her this. She'll want to hug me!
In my high school’s days late 70s, I was very lonely and miserable boy but Mantovani music during lunch time from school yard speakers would make my day.
About 10 years earlier than you my two favorite music types as a teenager were Mantovani and Elvis Presley. While Mantovani was still recording in the 70's my wife and I tried to find where we could see a live performance in London, only to learn he was only a studio recording orchestra and never played before an audience.
Thank you so much for posting this and from the Open reel tape version. When I was a child in the 80's I would visit my Grandmother twice a year for one full week. She had this album on 8-track tape. I played that so many times I lost count. I now own the Album on both LP and Open Reel. But for the sake of convince, Your video is my go to source. I close my eyes and this music takes me back to my Grandmothers house in that Golden chair listening to her 8-track tape. And to answer the question in the comments. Reel to Reel tape has better sound than LP or 8 track in most cases. This tape is recorded at 7.5 inches per second which is the best you can get on consumer tape players. Most LP's back in the day were made from 30 inches per second tape. And thanks again and again for posting this video.

You are a Saint for preserving this!! I had one of these. Got it in 1968 in Japan when I was as in the US Navy on an aircraft Carrier. Fantastic Music!! 🙏😎☘️😁❤️🙌
In general, which has better sound quality between reel-to-reel tapes and LP records? The sound quality of this Video is quite high quality even through my inexpensive PC speakers!
@Daoyi Lovely! Why did you upload at 1440 when 4K sounds much better? It's free, please do it now. BTW your tape heads may need cleaning and demagnetizing, but I'm not sure.

Unfortunately, we have given up quality of sound for convenience. The old open reel-to-reel gave such clarity and lovely sound. Unfortunately, one cannot just carry one around in a pocket as we can a phone. Having music at hand is great, but for sitting back and truly enjoying the experience, reel-to-reel is hard to beat.
