Why in the hell can't they put the handle up higher on manual recliners so people with short arms can frigging reach it without practically having to lean half-way out of the right side of the chair? Surely in this day & age someone can think of a solution to that problem with manual recliners!!!
Great question Playhooky! Someone has thought of a solution! It was La-Z-Boy! La-Z-Boy has an extended handle option on their manual recliners. With an extra 2 inches of handle length, its easier than ever to recline in comfort.
they REALLY need to keep making manual chairs. MY chair is in the middle of the room with no outlets close, and I do NOT want to have to remember to recharge something.
I would like to have a recliner, but here in the UK these are very expensive for some reason - we have cheaper, but they are really garbage quality. (plus we don't have show rooms like these :'(
One other video cautioned that one should make sure the manufacturer will ship parts to the customer, not just to the dealer. If the latter goes out of business, pretty common in the furniture biz, the manufacturer of the recliner may decline from sending parts to the customer and his, now, disabled chair. Boo Hoo.
The price for a La-Z-Boy recliner is really specific to each customer and their customizations. Which recliner you choose, what fabric or leather you pick out for it and promotions all factor into the price. Here is an article outlining the average price for one of our recliners: furnitureacademy.com/la-z-boy-recliner-cost/
Power laz boy are actually built cheaper mine broke from weight of dog i go to look its held up by a plastic part to push the footrest under now i wont get unless they changed how they are made i didnt buy it my family did so i dont have the warranty!!
I hate my power Lazy boy, so wish I would have done the manual, but I let the salesman talk me into it, it doesn’t adjust the same and I can’t get comfortable..hate it!!
Hey Christopher, La-Z-Boy power recliners come with a battery back up which last for roughly 7 days before needing another charge. If your power goes out for a week then your recliner power will be the last of your worries!
@@FurnitureAcademy My understanding that is a option !! Are they any better than they were 15 years ago ? Because I bought a recliner with heat and massage, that was all they had back then and had nothing but issues. It took a act of congress to get the chair replaced. They tried to work on it 3 different times. Finally they replaced the chair but I still got screwed. Because the chair had another flaw. The leg rest had plastic junk for the mechanism and hold. Had that crap replaced 5 times. Not to mention the padding of the arms and seat were not as as advertised either. The last Lazy Boy chair I had was a complete disaster and disappointment. Now I have a Lane and it's just as bad !!! I don't have confidence in any furniture anymore. I was always told Lazy Boy was the best furniture. My experience was not True !! I looked at Bassett same crap. I wish the real furniture makers were still in Thomasville, NC Because that furniture was the BEST !!!!!!
@@FurnitureAcademy Yeah but for how much, how long will that battery last 6 months, a year 🤔 If it's a acid battery that's a problem because it puts out vapor that can harm you. I see problems with the power chairs either way you go. it's cheap parts because if they are high quality it's going to be very expensive. And if it's worth the money they will stand behind it for 10 years !! By then most people want or need new furniture. Either way it's a lot of money for a recliner that the padding is going to be bad in 3 years no matter what you get 💯
