I just saw this on Twitter, and I broke down into a weeping mess. My inner child is totally heartbroken… RIP, Will Ryan. Fly high, Petrie… 😭

Will Ryan’s best role I think we can all agree was Eugene Meltsner. He will be greatly missed 😢😭

He's really an underrated voice actor. He seemed to have more work in the 80's and 90's. And I am surprised he's still alive, since he's going to turn 80 this year.

I only known him as Petrie from the original Land Before Time movie and as the seahorse from the Little Mermaid. As much as I love Jim Cummings, I think Will Ryan captures Billy Bletcher's performance as Peg-Leg Pete a lot more. He even voiced the character for a bit in the Mickey Mouse short "Get a Horse".

I’m truly impressed by this actor’s reel. His Goofy was really good too! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Rest In Peace to a truly versatile and underrated talent.

The fact that Ryan said that Petrie was his favourite role confuses me as to why he didn't reprise his role in the MANY sequels. Also, for those who didn't know, Ryan was picked as the voice of Petrie by Stephen Spielberg's son Max, who imagined Petrie to sound like Digit from An American Tail. Hence why the two characters sound similar, but with Digit notably higher in pitch.

Billy Gilbert, the original voice of Willie the Giant, must be congratulating Will in heaven now for a job well done. R.I.P.

This proves when you’re a voice actor you don’t actually work for just one company although some do tend to keep you at one place because they know how great you are. Can you a video about Phil Baron’s voices? Please?

I first knew Will Ryan because he voiced the weasel in "Mouse Soup" and Morris in "Morris Has a Cold" that also included Hal Smith as Boris the Bear

That is one hell of a voice range.

R.I.P. Will Ryan. He died on my 27th birthday at the age of 72, which was on November 19, 2021. Strange, considering if you switch 2 and 7 around. Other than that, rest in piece, beloved voice actor.

I’m a big fan. 1 of my favorite characters is Eugene Meltsner.

Having grown up listening to Adventures in Odyssey, I struggle to hear anyone other than Eugene Meltsner 😂😂😂

I remember him as Petrie from the original Land Before Time, Stuey the Pig on Rock-a-Doodle, the Seahorse on The Little Mermaid, Willie the Giant from Disney, and the Goat, Hero the Dog and Reverend Rat from Thumbelina.

How can you not have the Duck Brothers from Courage the Cowardly Dog? They're probably one of Will Ryan's best roles because of how funny they are with their bickering in the Liverpool accent he did.

I didn’t know before Will Ryan played one of the side characters in Duck Tales, the seahorse squire in the littler mermaid, Flinstone Christmas Carol or Frog and Toad. And Frog and Toad that show suddenly ringed a bell because I remembered of how I watched that back in elementary school. Frog and Toad was also a book as well, I even remember that part where they found toad’s bathing suit humorous cause of how it looked and he walked away in embarrassment. I didn’t know how I remembered that cause it’s been years since I seen it.

I will always remember him as the voice of Petrie and the voice of Harold the seahorse in the little mermaid.

Unflippin believable who EVER would have thought so many beloved characters from my past played by one voice! I've seen like 98% of these there were only like 1 or 2 I don't recognize.
