XLR Wireless to Camera Mic in! HACK! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kMo9oCoe7pw.html

The range on this unit sounds very low. "not very crisp" is the best way to describe it. Not a deal breaker, but as soon as you get over $80 CAD, I expect better. It is aesthetically pleasing, so that does count for a bit and coming with a desk mount is actually quite nice to see.

@@MDxGano i think a lot of people are missing audio from mics that spund low resolution the AM8 sounds good but some of the audio sounded like old audio compression... The same price range is also reviewed here. This microphone could have a different frequency response that could be more narrow. In this price range i find there is always a sacrifice of some sort somewhere. The PD400X is an higher end unit with nice tone and the USB equalizer tuning is wonderful but self noise so the PD400X I see best for Podcasting speaking close to the mic or game streaming. Sadly more self noise than the cheaper options but better tonal frequency response. In about 3 weeks I expect to be reviewing another XLR / USB mic option

@@sparkestudio Would be interesting to hear/see side by sides with the mic in video; something like the Blue Yeti, Hyper X Quadcast s or the new RoG mic name not found in my memory. The range being "very low" is a bit of an exaggeration. The mic in the video was proficient enough for me to not care if it wasnt a mic comparison video.

@@MDxGano you might find the comparison with the Maono PD400X and Fifine AM8 to be interesting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1uT9cQjoJ-E.htmlsi=qPXvwTTkE1b6VFOl I have not reviewed any of those mics or used any of those you have mentioned. It gets very expensive buying everything out of pocket as you may notice my small subscriber and view counts. Between this channel and my tech channel I spent $100,000 out of pocket on equipment that includes any income I made since mid 2019 when I started both my channels. I spent enough to buy a new truck to help others. I almost bought the Blue Yeti during a boxing day special however I spent on a new mechanical gaming keyboard instead. I am very curious about how the Fifine Tank 3 compares. To buy older products and get no views cause RU-vid won't push it would just work to kill my channel... Which is massively underrated for all the work and money I put in. if someone sent me those for review to compare I would be he on that. I used to have more mics, a lot more but had to sell off a pile to pay for my electrical schooling.

Impressive audio. I got a Rode PodMic for a bit more, it was on a sale, so got a good deal, but already cheap, but only a bit more than this. But PodMic does not pick up scratching noise as much but the metal tapping sounds and the arm it will. It's built for major abuse it seems. Is PD200X too? Is it made of metal or plastic? I see the Maono PD400X looks like a Pod Mic copy at the front at least.
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio 7 месяцев назад
Yep, it is made of metal. Thanks for asking, I literally had to go check right now to know. The body paint has a very slight texture, but I bet someone is going to purposely use that textured body to record their own record player scratch sound effects 😲. Setting up like a Studio mic sounded setup overhead sounded better than expected. I haven't tried the Rod Podmic you speak of, is it also dual USB and XLR?
@mtbboy1993
@mtbboy1993 7 месяцев назад
There are two versions, the PodMic USB has both XLR and USB, and is much pricier, and it comes with a pop filter. Podmic does not, it's only XLR. Also it does not come with an XLR cable. I don't remember if the USB version comes with one. @@sparkestudio

That's great! Quick question, what happens if you plug the mic into a power bank or power adapter? reason why I ask is because I want to see if the RGB stays on when connected to XLR without the need to also plug it to an actual PC. On a future revision I would love to see these types of mics with an internal battery can run the RGB for a couple hours. that would be perfect for podcasts where you need to have multiple mics going into a mixer
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio 7 месяцев назад
100% yes, a power bank or any normal power source works for RGB lighting. Where I test the silence of XLR and have the RGB on I removed the part of the video where I mentioned it is connected to USB on my alarm clock. A Power bank works exactly the same.

I made an unlisted community post about the piles of tech items I'll be reviewing. Also a crazy teaser to start with where I power my camera, Tascam, Zoom F3 and my 5.5" monitor off of one battery. Most tech reviewers which are sponsored of course are look at this $1000 battery it can power your setup... The battery I used is about $60 USD. Always so much fun to "break the rules".

Can you do a video of you editing the audio to make it sound better?
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio 7 месяцев назад
I never edit audio to make it sound any different than it does. The only edit I ever do is removing hiss which I don't do any of that here. Do you mean a general video to make audio sound better? If you would be referring to removing hiss and mic self noise I have at least 2 videos but 1 showing multiple methods. On my channel simply click on channel name and go top play list and find "hot Tips"

mooano pd200x or fduce sl40

@@dosti211 Never tried the Fduce SL40. I personally would ask PD200X or Fifine AM8. I reviewed both of those, and for that answer it depends on if you use USB or XLR. The Fifine AM8 has a really crappy swivel which in my review I also show how to fix that issue with a single 10 cents Washer. Maono use USB, Fifine XLR connection.

Hey, which is better, am8 or pd200x for podcast and casual singing considering i'll be at a distance of 4-6 inches from the mic. Also its my observation that pd200x sounds very nasally and am8 sounds as if u have congested throat and flat, so which is better considering these and the distance? Also does having 24 bit over 16 bit make a huge difference?
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio Месяц назад
@@nawalnautiyal6252 Audio Quality wise 24bit vs 16bit the difference is zero until you boost volume levels then there is a HUGE difference. Rendering a video in 16bit vs 24bit is huge doesn't matter the mic quality higher bit rate render is better. 16bit vs 24bit you can boost about 12 dba volume before hiss becomes noticeable even in a super low self noise mic. 24bit you can boost about 24 Dba which is a big improvement. As for which mic is best I mention in both my reviews of both mics what to use with what connection type it is not one or the other. Keep that in mind with any multiple connections to a mic the audio quality isn't the same... AM8 sounds like trash when connected to USB lioe some 20 year old online digital video but overall great for the price when using XLR. PD200X sounds better than AM8 when connected to USB, especially when using the Maono equalizer software to make it sound even better. The AM8 requires a ridiculous amount of gain volume if you aren't right up on the mic you're going to have to boost volumes into hiss taritory. Fifine Tank 3 is great IF you have an equalizer or a program I bought that I have not reviewed yet... Gonna use multiple mics normally and then with the program to make them sound better. Unlike other reviewers I try to compare more mics and conclude with real thoughts not trying to sell you. Just keeping it real.

@@sparkestudio hey man, thanks for the reply. And yes i'll be using the mic in USB mode, but having XLR mode is a good future proofing. And u can recommend any other mic too in this price range at around 50-60$. Now the only problems i have with pd200x is 1. it sounds very sharp without editing, so since i'm a noob, can some basic EQ (lowering the high frequencies) reduce that sharp shrillness? 2. it becomes very low sounding at 5-6 inches, so if i increase the gain, will it still cancel the background noise and get my voice properly? Other than these 2 points, i too love pd200x more. AM8 looks very cheap, square(idk i just dont like it square), weird 12 year old RGB, and sounds very flat too. Hope you do reply. Thanks in advance!!
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio Месяц назад
@@nawalnautiyal6252 the maono software you can use to lower the high sounds. In terms of future proof I would get something better. I have no better recommendations in the price range. Unless you are talking USB connection type only than MAYBE the Vegue VG50 which I reviewed years ago. The higher you boost volume it indeed introduces more background noise. On my channel I have a video in my playlist audio & video *HOT TIPS* where I show multiple programs to remove background noise. There are shields you can get as well but a good one is far more expensive than these microphones.

@@nawalnautiyal6252if I was at my computer and looking through my video history and my self of microphones I may have other suggestions but again the better options are strictly XLR or strictly USB. I am stuck at a work camp for 2 weeks at a time with 6 and a half days in the studio and back again for 2 weeks to pay off my huge bills. I spent $100,000 USD out of pocket for the Review items and tech on this channel and my Spark E Tech channel since mid 2019. $20,000 per year.

You might of had a defective mic, but as I state in my review USB is the best sound. I didn't edit the sound and I am not playing music and I didn't even compress or touch any the sound, pure as recorded. I reviewed the Fifine AM8T just before this which is certainly a higher end mic than the K669D. I Preferred Fifine XLR and I personally was meh on the USB sound.

@@chadontheroad1 tone for your personal voice is a big thing. The fifine AM8 mic had a beautiful deep tone when speaking close and personal with XLR. This Maono is more natural flat tone unless turned with the USB software to Deep or Vintage. I reviewed another Fifine mic it in my playlist sounded identical to the Shure MV7 and it was totally budget but it had a light annoying buzz (an older mic) one of the first few USB mics I reviewed on this channel back around 2020.

When I use it in voicechats, will the others hear keyboard noise?
@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio 5 месяцев назад
Can't believe I missed testing that aspect of this mic. With a mechanical keyboard there is no such thing as zero sound but reduced sound. I ordered the PD400X and when I review I'll compare the sound rejection with a keyboard on both. This is going to reduce keyboard sound a lot if you speak close up to the mic and have the keyboard below. The most impressive noise rejection I tested so far can be heard in my Fifine AM8T review BUT the USB audio isn't as good as the PD200X and the volume level of the AM8T is low forcing you to speak close to the mic.
