Different types of microphones. AM8 is condenser, A8 is dynamic. I would listen to the sound test with headphones on and make a decision. They just have very different sound profiles

Personal preference and whatever is in stock and cheaper! I personally still like FIFINE more even tho I like the Maono shape more. HOWEVER, that built in software is hard to pass up!

Hey, which one is better am8 or pd200x in usb mode for normal youtube videos when my mouth will be 4-6inches away from the mic and for some casual occasional singing? Which has better noise cancellation? And if i can EQ the sharpness of the pd200x to lower it? Why I'm confused? Am8 sounds flat and muddy at times, but pd200x has a very nasally voice and the highs are very sharp too at 4.30 in usb, which mode are u in? original or its edited?

Both have different sound profiles for sure and I think you’re right that FIFINE a little more muddy. However, I like the am8 profile more. I would go look at my review on the AM8. That entire video is recorded with it.

I haven’t gotten to explore the webcam world to be honest. It all depends on your budget but webcams generally all look the same. The lighting in your room is more important.

Fifine is superior in this area. But the pd200x also does a great job. Dynamic microphones are the best when this is your main issue

It’s only 6 ft so it’s not super long. It would fit on a boom arm if it’s next to your pc. Amazon has plenty of budget boom arms and most of them are great.

fifine K651 is also dynamiic it has stand from and half the price of that moano PD200X

The K651 also has a significantly lower Maximum Sound Pressure Level, at 110, compared to the Maono PD200X's 130. That means the Maono can handle much larger volume input, like shouting, without the audio clipping in an unpleasant way. Not saying the K651 is a bad mic, but it is an older model, and the K688 is very close in quality to the PD200x. But yes. It is kinda lame that the PD200X doesn't come with a boom arm.
