As Polynesians we should have the right to practice our traditional healing without outsiders stepping in. Hell how much more do we have to conform and how much more culture must we lose before they let us be? First they come with their religions, then they ban the tatau, then our healers. This has got to stop! Soon they will ban our languages and everything else we hold dear!

Kia ora, i've just had my very 1st maori healing session 2 days ago here in Brisbane Australia by a family friend who was visiting whanau and due to return bak to Aotearoa a couple of days later. So at first i wasnt sure what to expect. I honestly thought i was gonna get the most magical healing of doom and voala, all of my sore back problems and pakaru feet and ankles were gonna be fixed like new 😂, but as i continued into the session with an open mind i embraced everything that was being said and done throughout the entire process. It was like, a combination of my maori culture, the physical and the spiritual worlds all working together to make me feel better and the balancing out of my hinengaro (mentally) to my tinana (physically) to my wairua (spiritually). From Clearing and unblocking blocked energies in my chakras to cleansing and releasing negative thoughts or concerns, feelings, stresses, and energies i stored within me. Also knowing that i was being surrounded, supported and guided and given direction in my life by my tupuna (ancestors) and loved ones who have passed, was so comforting and quite overwhelming. For my first ever experience like this i think i came away with alot more knowledge and understanding of myself and an even greater appreciation for people like yourself Jolie who practice traditional maori healing So kia ora to you for sharing this important story with us all even if it was a few years ago, i was drawn to this video 2 days after my mirimiri so its just as relevant to Te Ao Maori today being June 10th 2023. Mauri ora ✌️😃

I think what you do, is awesome, its our rongoa kawa, what you are taught isn't to harm people, think you were set up. if I feel friction , I refuse to awhi a client. For 30yrs now I choose my clients very carefully, due to one complaint. Its a learning curve , don't let them bring your confidence down, it so hurts me to see this type of BS when your mahi is healing. I hope all is well now, piki te kaha wahine toa.

What an amazing story and one with a life challenge thrown in there, I too have been taught how to heal from my grandpa to my mum and to me and it breaks my heart to hear someone trying to descredit your gift that has been passed on from the people that love you so much, I hope, one day that person who was shortsighted, has the balls to say to you I'm sorry....God bless..

I have watched many times it’s beautiful healing in motion. Maori healing is that Maori healing. No comparison is valid, we practice under the matauranga (knowledge) base of our Tupuna (ancestors). Mauri Ora Jolie Davis 🙌🏾

Less and less people are choosing to use chiropractors, some chiropractors choose to only do enough so the patient is required to come use their services for several expensive months. People turning to Maori healers understand exactly the type of care they require and it should always be there choice FREE of red tape.

Hi Jolie, How is this case moved on? I hope you are well in this time and things worked out well for you. As a man who is mixed race (Caribbean and English) I have a deep trust in the knowledge and healing practices of indigenous people. I am a holistic massage therapist and feel called to know more of this Maori healing practice. Thank you for sharing you situation. Best wishes, Kyle

Kia Kaha! just because romiromi doesnt abide by this chiropractic framework that is essentially white which is always seen as the default and effectively valued more that maori ways of seeing and living is bullshit but thats nothing new sadly, if maori healing becomes regulated it then becomes redundant and that is another way of degrading our knowledge ! you should never have to accommodate to others that don't understand or respect our ways

I support Jolie Davis. She knows what she is doing. I think other tribe people shouldn't come to her, and create issues. Go to your tribe massage therapist, and leave our Angel tribe people alone. She is there for angel tribe people mainly.

It's all about money and control if it ain't under the pirate system they then deem it to be illegal but they protect there medical practitioners under medical miss adventure, so who deems that to be a legal act?????

That woman set you up from the start. Sounds like she had an axe to grind. It's frustrating seeing all these professionals and academics viewing everything through a pakeha lense. Useless

The mistake you made Jolie was to even let her on your table ... your kōrero with her pre-treatment should have told you she was aiming to be a nanakia ... at that point you kick her out So where did things end up Jolie? Kia kaha haere tonu i tōu mahi tūpuna rongoā Jolie

Wow! So your business has grown since this? Thats epic as chiki 🥰 i pray it grows strong and prosperous. I was going to ask for the name, so we don't make the mistake of supporting her negative path that she tried laying out for you. Its a show of support to you but also thinking from your side too and how you wish to hold your name 😊 if you wish to warn us, that would be awesome but if you chose to be the better half and move on, I respect that choice 🙌🙌
