I really hope for DLC they make new maps in reference to the planned Jurassic Park locations that were present in the first film. Jurassic Park: Europe which was planned to be somewhere in the Azores which could make for a cool location, maybe an inland lagoon where you can put aquatics in without having to build the facility. Kind of like the opposite of the San Diego Ampitheater. I don't know, but there's a lot of possibilities for future maps!
@@X300u No. But the concept isn't necessarily fan-made because Michael Crichton was the one who pitched the idea. As for if to was mentioned in the first film... ehh... there was a lot of concept art done for the movie and a good chunk of it appears during the lunch scene. I didn't catch anything about new park locations but then again I feel like I catch something new in that scene every time I watch it soooo I should keep an eye out.
For the life of me I cannot understand why there are so few playable maps in these games. I had hoped for more with the Biosyn expansion but the two we got were kinda mediocre.
Hot take, but im glad that the base game here is mostly all returning rather than new, cuz that means any dlc will be new not returning which makes them all more exciting to think about because if we get 4 dlc packs, 5 dinos each, thats 20 brand new dinos for 100 total. Im also interesting to see what mechanics they add / expand upon, such as possibly adding lagoon customization options like reefs and sea plants n stuff.
I'm very happy to see there's a UK map, didn't expect that. Bit disappointing that its a small map, though given I'd probably only use it for building a park with the British species that shouldn't be too much of a problem. If it is a problem well the Germany map looks like parts of the UK so I could just use that instead. In general these map sizes are pretty good, certainly an overall improvement over the previous game. The fact they start off mostly flat is a godsend on its own.
It would be so cool to see new maps along with DLCs across the world, like the Sarah desert or an African Savannah, the Australian Outback, the Amazon, the Himalayas and a ton of other cool places that would be unique to build in with new dinos along with them
I'm so excited for this. I hope I can still focus on finals after this releases next week. You might already have this planned, but going through the scenery items and terrain tools would be awesome to see. Thank you for the bulk upload today!
Right when I was looking at the map I know I gonna be so god damn cool, but now thinking about I kinda want a grand canyon map and the dinoa could just roam around the grand canyon
Damn with Sorna being a map they really should've done a scenario for Chaos Theory mode where not only are you rebuilding JP San Diego but you also lead a team run by Roland Tembo having to hunt down and capture the dinos free on the island to be transported to San Diego.
@@LeeH1989 Blame Universal. They're the publisher, and they're the one who mandated feature-parity across the entire release stack. The only difference between the various builds for different platforms are the graphics, and unfortunately Sim Park type games are very computationally dependent. That's why JWE1 and 2 are puddle deep when it comes to the gameplay loop. Old Gen consoles don't exactly have the computational horse power to instance several hundred simple AI's, and that's why guests are just window dressing and aren't NPC's with needs to fulfil - the base Ps4 and Xb1 with their 2012 era laptop tier hardware can't handle that. Likewise, that's why the maps range from tiny to small'ish when compared to Frontier's other Tycoon games. In addition to being CPU challenged, the Old Gen consoles don't exactly have gigabytes of ram to crunch.
@@TheKain202 fair points and I HATE it. Fuck console man I feel constantly limited in areas thanks to my favourite games having to compensate. All I want is Planet Zoo but with dinosaurs and nothing else.
@@Egguana_ maybe with like genetic safe guards like you make it so that they are contained in a circle of like red or something and you engineer it so that they really hate red so they will stay away and guests walking around could were red safety vests. Something like that?
Mmm I'm 50/50 on the maps. My 2 cents are there should've been atleast 1 large map of each biome. Ideally 1 medium 1 large for each would've been ideal.
Hopefully along the way we'll get more maps to build on. I'm kinda surprised we don't have an Australian location. I mean, the outback would be a perfect setting. Same with South America, South East Asia... the list goes on and on of possibilities. Maybe they're holding back a few locations for when they do a dlc to go along with dominion.
I really liked the ring style map of Sorna in JWE 1. I wish they would of just kept that map and expanded on it... Even with the mechanics how they were in JWE 1 it made a pretty good site b by being able to separate certain sections for certain dinos and in the jeep it felt huge because you had to drive around it. I really hope they add a second site b map more along the lines of the old one but bigger in the future... Maybe the same basic shape and size but with more pockets and off-shoots branching off of it.
Overall I'm happy, but it's kind of a bummer to see the random little hills that you can't flatten and are placed IN THE WAY return. I guess I'm going to be refreshing Kaiodenic's channel for a bit now, so I'm not actually all that bothered by it given what we've seen modding able to do with the previous game.
It would be REALLY cool if you could “make” your own map, like if you wanted the size of nublar 2015, or Germany but you wanted to change the biome. Like how cool would it be if you could have a GIANT alpine or desert map!
I hope some day in a future game there’s an Australian map, but it’d be hard to pull off really well but if done right there’s like a dozen ecosystems to choose from that would each be incredible to see dinosaurs roaming in
Bestinslot, did you know in isla sorna site B if you zoom in, you can see other thing like the aviary and the buildings where the velociraptors attack Alan and sone of the other characters
I hope we'll get new maps and biomes with DLCs! Something like the swamps of the southeastern USA, costal redwood forests of northern California or Mediterranean/South African themed biomes would be sweet.
That Germany map 😍 Holy crow, I think this may be a new favorite for me. I really love the look of the Southwest map, building challenges aside, that's also probably going to be a favorite of mine. And of course Nublar 2015 is a good all around sandbox map with open area and no weird bits. These are some really cool maps for sure!
Germany, UK, and Canada are definitely my favorites, UK is definitely a more niche map for people who would want to build a Wessex Formation park, but Germany is by far the best one, can't wait to make some beach enclosures
I absolutely love the Southwest USA map in the canyons. It’s perfect for building park tours and connecting large conjoining enclosures. The unique challenges it presents really test your creativity. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Definitely my favorite sandbox map.
I was hoping for HUUUUUGE maps...let stuff run naturally. Now I just need to finish the campaign and open everything in sandbox to see if my wish comes true.
taiga and alpine maps are small...they should have given atleast one large taiga map like germany..because taiga and alpine are my fvrt biomes....also so many beautiful large maps in campaign ...campaign maps should be in sand box too
It would be great if, like the Return to Jurassic Park DLC, they added abandoned buildings (such as a destroyed visitor or innovation centre, cos I would love to see those) as scenery items.
Have the land tools gotten much better? They were my biggest gripe with JWE1, when I should clearly be able to place something and BS "obsructs" it for no reason... I "flatten" the land yet still not able to place something...
All attractions? Want to see if there’s anything new, but I doubt it, really missed opportunity for a armored up vehicle carnivore feeding tour type deal.
Jurassic Park Japan is mentioned in the books, i hope Frontier remembers that little detail and put out an update for it. Imagine the Godzilla parody they can do
It would be really cool if they made a raptor cage from the movie and put it in the chaos theory mode. They might already have but I haven’t seen the gameplay
The Maps are Okay. But it feels to me that there are smaller than in JWE 1. When i build an Aviary and a Lagoon a big chunk of the Map is full. I hope we will get a Gigantic-Map with an update or Addon to build a real Jurassic Park ^^.
are you sure? i feel the maps here are far FAR bigger than anythig in JWE 1. Germany is so ginormous its slightly ludicrous, lagoons and aviars are quite large but germany and isla nublar are certainly far bigger than anything in JWE 1
8:11 Dude, I'm going to be building *so many* parks on this one, it's perfect for classic dinosaur movie-themed parks like 1 Million BC, When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, Valley of Gwangi etc.
I'd love to see redo's of your old jwe parks in this new game (Think dinosaur mountain with the Washington map,the destroyed park on site b, Jurassic lagoon resort in San diego or Germany ect ect).
i remember playing germany and being like huh this is pretty big, then hopping in a ranger jeep and realising it was so much bigger than i ever realised.
These dont include the campaign maps?? That's incredible! This game looks to be infinitely better than the first game. and I LOVE the first game!! Gah! Gimme Tuesday already!! lol
Good lucking building a nice Site B on that tiny Sorna map. I guess we will have to wait for some map expansion mods before we can build really nice parks...again. In the freaking sequel no less.
Anyway, I'm really disappointed in Frontier! I didn't mind that the 1st game was a kind of prototype of this one, so it didn't have any REALLY big map. I told everyone: "Don't worry, Frontier listen to us, they are great developers, we will not even need mods". And what do we get? Nublar is hardly even bigger than the old one😗
If the SouthWest USA map could have fences built right up against the edge of the rock formations, this could be one of the most interesting design maps in the game so far.
May I ask. Is everything available, instead of having to unlock maps and Dinosaurs over time? Thank you so much for showing us the maps in advance of release.
First like? Anyway I haven't been watching for as long as some of your other subscribers but your videos are amazing and your easily my favourite youtuber!
I'm German and I was quite surprised when I saw in the video that Germany exists. Personally, I would guess that the map is on the Baltic Sea because of the gravel beach. but i like the islands more. Anyway nice video!
I can see why they left the JP San Diego Amphitheater exclusive to the TLW Chaos Theory map since it says San Diego on it. But they could have at least made it so that players could remove it and place it where they wanted.
Another let down is some of these map sizes. The JP Nublar map is smaller than I expected. I guess the game is still being held back by peasant boxes as usual.
Ha! Come to think of it, to this day I have still not seen the pteranodons in Nublar 93 in JWE1 and I have built on it alot, I was almost disappointed in the maps but I really like the canyon and I'm very happy with Nublar '93, I just knew it would be extending to that lower level. One thing though and it might just be me but i think everyone seems to have forgotten the size of the original nublar 93 from JWE1... none of these maps are really bigger than the original 93, I think the JWE2 Jurassic World Nublar matches the size almost exactly. I'm excited for Nublar '93 and Nublar 2015, think maybe the southwest USA too.
