I just this happened upon this video. 'E kala mai...the style of these beautiful ladies remind me of my Kumu Hula, Aunties Louise and Luka of Ilima Hula Studio. Absolutely breathtaking ❤
Amazing to see such beautiful senior dancers still dancing with the airs and graces taught to them over their lives. I felt every emotion expressed by these two beautiful women and I thank them for the visions given and the story told by their dance. Korua nga wahine ataahua nga mihi nui ki a korua.
Mahalo nui loa for taking the time to include the chords and translation to this mele. It helps me understand the meaning of the hula movements. I always like to learn the music of the dance on my uke. So Mahalo for providing this 🌴🌸🌴
Wow, just like all the other clips, I am truly blessed to see this. I wish I could learn this, but I do know that to learn it without the history of the song and dance is to insult the kumu. I would not in all the world want to do this. Perhaps one day I would be in a position to learn all I can about Hula before attempting their beautiful dances
