Around 14:45 when Frances crossed the first barrier on the exploration track she only moved one space on the Spain track, I believe it is 3 spaces for crossing that lightsaber (barrier)

And even if I don't like this because I'm french :p (but well... we finished first here !), Spain - red nation - appear to be 2nd at the end (they have 3 cubes on the map, 2 only for england), even if we can admit that there are a lot of points to check at the end when we begin at this game :)

The last purchase by Anthony, Privateer Raid, cannot be paid for with workers. It has to be swords, or not at all. Page 21 of the current rules specifies the cost cannot be workers, workers can only be used as swords in combat. (Unless you had a Martyr and I missed it).

Adding the majority before evaluating the tracks makes it a lot easier. Also the majority is calculated by cubes on the board not how many have been removed from the track (remember you can displace some during the game)

You don't get money for the last income you get the points under the space on the Income coins track.

When you reach the end of the explore track, you also get to do a village action.

54:38 when Frances wanted to play the second Harbor card but didn’t - QQ: if she had played it would she get the income listed on the 2nd Harbor card because she already the synergy token? Meaning it would have been beneficial for her to play it.

If you love doing this, don’t let trolls on Twitter stop you from creating content. We had no idea any of this was going on and we watch a lot of different board game channels and even back Kickstarters. I say just keep pressing forward! We have no idea what any of this was really about but you guys make great board game content and that’s what we are here for. 🍻

Have you played it without the story but in hard mode? Brings some new places on the board (some you can't use until you pass them on the exploration track) it also make the rondelle a little bit longer (in itroduces spots that take 3movement to pass) so you can still rush but Frances will have a little bit more time to plan, I think is a nice inbetwen.

38:22 the card doesn't give her a guy you have to pay a guy. Anything on the top left corner of a card is either payment or requirement.

Thanks for another great playthrough! My favorite game currently, along with Lisboa :-). So many different ways to play and win, and the campaign mode is just superb!

23:10 he mentions “Buying Cards” as a Village action. You can only: “Buy” the cards from your hand or planning space and build them in front of you. Or Buy 1 of the current available 4 building cards, at the top of the board. They however, stay at the top, for all to buy. You may not “Buy” cards from the offer, as a village action. At the end of your turn, when refilling your hand, you may take a card blindly for free or pay 1 doubloon to take one from the offer. You may do either until you are back up to your hand size and then and only when your hand is full, do you replenish the offer.

In final scoring you don't get money income, you get points based on how far you moved up the money income track.

It’s a great game. Seems like it was a quick game, for the amount of choices available. Surprise you felt it was a long game. Would this be the same kinda length as GWT? Like it, but the actual history of this region it’s placed in is not so great. Have you considered doing live stream with the interactive component, at all? You still need some green, colour, to contrast against the brown.

Do your u take the Village Action when landing on a location where one of your Assistants are based?

18:50 she battled for Spain and forgot to move up 1 influence on the Spanish track. (Remember she had moved up one last turn, while exploring)

Much as I love watching you guys, it pains me when there are rule errors so early on. Not moving 3 up the influence track when crossing the banner on the explore track and then not taking the Spain influence all within the first 20 minutes. Sorry - love your other plays but had to switch off.

For some reason I really dislike this game. Blackout Hongkong is a Pfister-favourite of mine. I think combat and exploring in Maracaibo is strange and dull mechanically.

OMG People! Go back and read the rules! This is my last entry on this epic fail of a play thru! You both have gone soft with this pandemic we are struggling thru! 39:47 He takes his turn exploring. Lands on the space that allows him to upgrade his ship by one token, he clears the space that “Will” give a gold and a strength “Whenever” he takes the village action of taking a coin. He does not get it right away! I hope you did enjoy the game! It is such a wonderful game!
