What made Diego so special is he was not only the best , he was also like us ...Despite an Aura & Charisma off the charts he was and belonged to the people !
@@robsonsilva4001 MARADONA AMABA A LA PELOTA, PELE AMA EL DINERO NADA MAS. POR ESO EL MUNDO AMARA POR SIEMPRE A DIEGO. MARADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MARADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MARADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A minor correction. This was the warm-up before the UEFA Cup Semi-Final second leg match between the mighty Bayern Munich and Napoli, at the Olympiastadion in Munich on 19th April 1989. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, but Napoli progressed to the Final on an aggregate score of 4-2 having won their home tie 2-0. There were 73,132 in attendance that day to witness Maradona's magic live in the stadium. RIP Diego. Best of all time.
My father saw him live when he came to Naples and saw a lot of his games at the San Paolo, including the home game against Bayern Munich. He always says that what you see in this warm-up is not even a fraction of what he was able to do during a game. This was just him having fun.
I will never forget LIVE seeing the 2 two goals to England in Mexico 86 World-Cup . The feeling at that moment (live) was like seeing a God coming from heaven to make those goals so easy as taking out a ball from a kid of 2 years... Something incredible ...He was eons over the others 21 in the field.. THE HAND OF G10D. Thanks Diego for that moments!! Best player EVER. Alex from Argentina.
I was 1 year old at that time. I envy you for having to watch it live. Diego is indeed THE God you talked about coming from heaven. We love you Diego 💔💔😭😭😭0
"the opposite team watch this and say just go home" hahahhaahhaha , the best ever line about facing Maradona!!!!!!!!! From Argentina love your video and your remarks!!!!!!!!!
There's much more than just chilling in this warm-up. It served a double purpose: - Firstly, to take the pressure on his teammates off by concentrating all the attention on him and encourage them to relax. - Secondly to intimidate and demoralize the opponent. You can be prepared to play against him, but it's another matter seeing him do things with a ball which are downright impossible for 99.99% of any other footballers. Knowing that this is the monster you're going to play against during 90 minutes. I'm old enough to remember him play on TV from ca. 87 onwards. In a time where the pitches were horrendous most of the times, and the defenders out to literally break his legs, without ever complaining. He truly was one of a kind and there'll never be another like him.
Agreed, plus you gotta add to that list the level of joy he had while simply warming up and playimg with the ball like he were goofing around on his own backyard. A true genius at work, respect.
We love Diego not only because he is the best footballer in history but because he was an amazing human being, who never forget where he came from and always spoke for the poor ppl and against injustices. This is a grat lost to us, argentinians, and it's going to be difficult to overcome his death.
The whole world is crying too believe me. I am from Saudi Arabia and here it is so sad. Everybody keeps talking about Diego, they keep posting pictures and video etc... The God of football. Football is dead now that Diego is gone 💔💔💔😭😭😭😭 RIP my hero
I understand your fascination with him, as this man dazzled all who attended that period, and I understand your confusion while analyzing the secret of this man's genius. I will tell you the secret in few words: Diego Maradona, he was not a footballer, he was football it self.
My mother said he had the ball tied to his feet... He really was amazing and as Rodrigo (a singer of cuarteto) says in his song "He brought joy to this people, he filled this land with glory"
If it helps you to get more in the moment, that song was playing in the stadium, Diego was listening to "life is life" so when it looks like he was dancing, he was! The football was just an extension of his body, he became one with her when he was in the pitch and yes I did call the ball her a d yes my name is Diego because of him.
Welcome to the paradise! Maradona's World, for us, the argentinians, it was normal see him do that! God keep besite him to Maradona, the best of the history! Grande Diego de mi vida! Todo el mundo llora tu partida!!! Prohibido olvidar! Las Malvinas, Eva Perón, el dr. René Favaloro y Maradona, ARGENTINOS!!!! Siempre 💙💛💙
I saw him play live in 82 barcalona vs red star in belgrade. All the players came out on the field but no maradona then finally he comes out and the photograhers went crazy all around him.Diego was testing out the goalkeeper from the 16 yard box this one photogragher was flashing away near the goalpost maradona lifted the ball up and hit it directly on the camera and smashed the camera in pieces.I saw this with my own eyes amazing
No one ever dominated the most prestigious and least frequent football competition like Don Diego did. Not only did he win that World Cup for Argentina, he scored the best World Cup goal of all time and perhaps the best goal ever scored anywhere against England and then did another one in the next game against Belgium... And to carry a team like Napoli that was one point from relegation when he joined, to 2 league titles, national cup and also continental title ...a time when the Seria A league ruled the world, a league where he was up against Van Basten, Gullit, Platini and every single of the world’s top 10 players at the time... wow! And to do it at a time when there was no protection from bad tackles, playing on horrible pitches, and without the quality of boots and ball they have now... to be a very skilful player, very powerful, athletic, great finisher, perfect vision, amazing assists... then to be a fearless leader that carried average teams to trophies, then to be a master ball juggler on top of all that .. and finally to do it with a big smile of joy like he just discovered the game every single time he saw a ball ... this guy was the Jesus if football... there will never be another one. Adios #10 Diego Armando Maradona... tears in my eyes at last. Thank you for taking the game we love to another level.
it wasn't world cup semi fainal, but the uefa cup (napoli vs bayern munich). Probably most important match in napoli's history, away from home and against one of the best club in football history. This was his way to make his teammates feel relaxed before any imporant match, as to say "keep calm, Diego is here".... needless to say, they went on and win the cup
GRACIAS DIEGO!!!!
This warm-up is known as the best ... he won a World Cup alone .. in Naples he is a god and in Argentina he is better than that Messi..🇦🇷👋👋saludos desde argentina
The photographer who put together this video said" The Bayern team lost the game even before it started. All the players stopped the warming up to see Diego."
Cuánto te vamos a extrañar Diegoooooo..no no se .....te digo llorando.
He was brutally attack before fiffa change the rules to protect creative players check out the video of him being tackled I also cried . He still with all that was unstoppable he is the greatest of them all
Even refreeing was not like today.they would protect players more today.during maradona's time they would kick the shit out of him and nothing will happen.
I love Messi, he's GOAT, ok, but Maradona had something that our dear Messi lacks. Maradona was like a warrior, he never lost hope, when things got worst, he made his best... when a match was going bad, he encouraged his teammates more, he had grit, spiritual strength, joy, he wasn't just a great player, he was really a leader and though he was short, he had the spirit of a lion and always positive and onward... He was a giant in spirit. He had plenty of "eggs" (balls, guts)
