I agree that the LED lights don’t look as good or as natural, and they’re certainly not an “upgrade”. But there is a practical reason, mostly because they are more readily available, last longer, and don’t have the heat issue. Just don’t use blue LEDs and be sure to replace the vellum. They can come pretty close.
Appreciate response. Not so sure about lasting longer. I may have had one bulb go out on my old receiver. And if incandescents are in anyway available, no way would I change. Cheers
@@dukeallen432 I agree the LEDs never look exactly "right". I think if you go with LED using the warm white and doubling or tripling up on the vellum paper looks the closest. It helps to get rid of the stabbing sharpness of the LEDs.
