@@KassPaAttHava hoka has a very low heel drop compared to a lot of other running shoes. Having your Achilles tendon under that much compression and that little help might cause Achilles tendonapathy which could side line you for close to a year. I wouldn’t do it, but I’m not an expert. Google it and ask some experts

Have you heard of Alexander Pachev? He and his family were running in Crocs. His best marathon time in Crocs is 2:34. There is a RU-vid channel: www.youtube.com/@CrocsRunningFamily His son recently ran HM in 1:06 in Crocs.

This came up randomly for me, shocked at the view count and have 0 doubts on it sky rocketing. Fair bloody play for not only sub 3 but for a WR. Running is a sport with so many avenues, in your case a history of high level competition and when that gets taken away its hard, the fact you have managed to claim something you sought after in a record, is truly inspiring

I was there on the day supporting other RU-vidrs I know and cycled around the course on my mtb. I heard about the “guy running in Crocs” and I’m so glad you made this video, it’s so well produced and addictive, watched the whole thing. I have recently ran my first marathon and had ran it with a gopro, for you to be entertaining the audience the whole time whilst running in crocs is unbelievable and I couldn't even do it with proper shoes. Hopefully you receive the very much deserving world record and this video gets the views it deserves as the editing is top notch aswell.

I also ran Manchester marathon . My first marathon, I have only been running 2 years and I finished in 03:54:01. Watching this video of you passing 'THE WALL' brings back so many memory's! The worst time of my life but also the best. We both did the 'awwcchh' whilst running the last 500m to the finish line because your body is in the bin at that point 🤣🤣 You smashed it mate! sub 3 hour in crocs! your mental! Great job!

That was awesome mate.. I've done a few marathons and still trying to get under 3 hours and everyone of them has been destroyed with a painful experience in that last 10k. Hoping I can make it this year. Can't imagine attempting a marathon at any pace in a pair of Crocs though, well done mate!

Incredible achievement. My god that footage of the cramp had me laughing out loud though - You looked like you were learning how to walk for the first time all over again. My heart sank for you! Glad you managed to push through it. Very impressive. Great job! Next challenge, go find 'that pair' of plimsoles you had to wear at school when you forgot your trainers for PE. The ones which were almost brown from dust at the bottom of the lost property bin :D
