Ah, the memories. Grabbed myself a popcorn bucket (no joke) and enjoyed 1:20 hours + credits. Some levels were cringy to watch (the horrible LE days, oh the humanity) but the speedruns were the exact opposite. Thank you for taking the time and undertaking such a monumental challenge, with so much effort put into it. The skills and routes undertaken here were superb and you've done such an incomplete old version justice. I'm glad some of the UTs were spot on. Some others were completely off but then again so is the final build's hahaha. RIP Old MBP May 2007 version. Press 'f' to pay respects.
Thanks Matan! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I do agree that some UT's, such as Getting Squeezed (which was probably the hardest one for me to do), have held up quite well, even though players have found so many level-breaking shortcuts since then. Some other ones, not so much (such as Battlecube Finale, Recoil Ultra Course, Helicopter Monster Course...) Also I am planning a sequel, which will do all the levels in MBP 1.00, planned release 23 December 2017.
Words cannot describe how amazing this movie is! I'm so glad you released something different and unusual when you normally make videos of regular levels from Gold or Platinum like others usually do. This movie definitely got my attention as I didn't watch those videos of you playing those types of levels (sorry about that). And I'm sure it would catch more viewers' attention as well! It's great to see how much has changed since the original version of MBP, and I see that some levels were easier or harder to get Ultimate Time such as Marble Agility Course where you can get the gems more easily. I like seeing what the original versions of these levels look like! Liked and favorited!
This was a video that was beyond fantastic. I am really impressed with the amount of effort you put into this compilation and this is easily one of the best videos this year (so far). Keep up the great work!
Man, this game looks so bad. A testament to how far they’ve come now with Marble It Up!. Do note I don’t mean to insult the game, I’m just saying that everything looks so weird after coming back to this after so long. Now the guys that made this moved on to make new great marble games. Happy the genre still exists.
That music is a soundtrack from Blinx: the Time Sweeper, an original Xbox exclusive game released in 2002. I recently started speedrunning that game alongside Marble Blast, but I haven't spent much time on it yet.
