Marble Rollercoaster with Elevator!!

This is a project I do with my 7th grade students that involves 110# cardstock paper, tape, and marbles. The goal is for the marble to travel for 30 seconds. Bonus points are awarded for loops, corkscrews, hills, jumps, and openness of track. The elevator is a real pain in the butt, but it's awesome when it works! Skip to 2:55. I show the elevator car. The front of the car gets tucked under a slip of paper that is taped to the base of the roller coaster. Hope this helps!

Tbh those are not corkscrews, Rhodes are tight helixes, A corkscrew is basically a stretched out vertical loop (a loopty loop) Sorry if I sound rude I just had to say that this is a cool video

It would be really hard for me to help you without seeing what you've got. An easier option might be to add a second marble. Have the first marble set off the second marble at the end of the run. If you are allowed to use string, it's a much easier way to double the time of your coaster. If you get the elevator to work, take a video. I'd love to see it! Good luck.
