Lovely video and nicely done too. I'm a big Marc Bolan fan, he was a brilliant singer and a fantastic songwriter. The man was a musical genius. That memorial bench is a wonder to behold. So beautiful. Marc Bolan left us too soon, but he'll never be forgotten. Keep riding that white swan Marc 🦢

I'm sitting on that bench in my photo! I was there in 2013 for the yearly London Bop. It's a beautiful place in Golders Green. Loved Marc and T.Rex when I was in high school in the 70's. I even saw them live in 73. There were many of us 'Yanks' who loved him. Thank you for sharing! ❤️

Marc and T Rex came to Oklahoma City 1973. When he came on stage and started playing, everyone left their seats and ran to the stage. He was loved.

Saw T Rex a number of times at Greens Playhouse (which became Glasgow Apollo). Camped out all night one New Years eve, it was freezing but worth it to get front row seats. Fantastic music, fantastic concerts. They are all still greatly missed

You missed the wooden Plaque inside the Crematorium. The Bench was purchased with donations from Fans around the World, the swan is carved in one piece, i was proud to contribute to the Bench and Ground Rent for the Bench. Also Contributed a few years for the White Plaque to remain, everything has to be paid for, both the White Plaque and the OMBFC plaque need to be paid for to keep them on the Wall. Donations can be made to the Marc Bolan Memorial Fund.

I have some of his songs on an SD card in my car, I wonder what he'd make of the way the music world has changed. I know he was all for helping new bands and genres, so I think he'd have embraced the tech we have now with open arms.

Once upon the Seas of Abyssinia A cultured man with rings Within his ear-lobes Locked the door From which the sun arose A man at noon With shadows on his cheek bone Singed for sleep To use him as a pillow His robes of chintz were melting In the snows The stars with eyes Embedded in his footprints Wept sweet words From his remembered childhood Poets of the skies Look long and hard Once upon the Seas of Abyssinia A cultured man with rings Within his ear-lobes Locked the door From which the sun arose La, la, la, la, da, da, da, da, la, la, la, la....
