This was the first song I ever heard from Marc Broussard. Man. That big voice and swampy feel. It's irresistible. He has matured into one of the best soul singers I've ever heard! Just rediscovered him lately and I'm blown away.
mobilemidlifecatharsis run riot, "... It will blow your face off. ..." My face already ain't much to look at, but Ikinda' like it right where it's at. ;-)
Booked tickets to see marc in London in October, please god this covid 19 will not be around in October, we can't wait to see him sing, i discovered marcs music about 6 months ago, i wished i had heard of him much sooner, i am English so really i should not understand and get marcs music, but believe me his music gives me a buzz, keep your music coming marc, see you in October 2020
I've loved this kid for ....like 20 years now, or close to it and I thank the Lord nobody ruined him and he still has his values, faith and SOUL!!!! Thank y'all so much!!
I'm a 17 year old. I like Lil' Wayne. I like Slipknot. Hell, I even like Rage Against the Machine. But this song is, by far, my all-time favorite song of them all.
My granddaddy just passed. He was a real Cajun. His parents couldn’t speak a lick of English. This reminds me of him. I now love this song in a very different way. Thank you, Marc.
I heard this song shortly after it was released. I am just as impressed with it today as I was 15 years ago when it was released. Marc is a man of immense talent, and this song is an incredible homage to traditional Southern Rythm and Blues.
Oh hell yeah !!!! This guy is a very old soul...hahahaaa been on this rock several times... Powerful song ,,,,,Wow , I get this song man, Time to get back home, it is calling sayin " Come Home Boy and Bump and Grind all the way....!!!! " Home is Texas BTW near Louisiana ..
Heard this many years ago. What a sound. For sure I thought it was an African American man singing, I bought the CD back then... To this day, not sure why this song didn't get more recognition. Amazing vocals, soul, sound - the whole thing.
My 4 year old son requests this song EVERY TIME we get in my truck - he says "Play Marc Broussard!" because that's what I tell Siri and she always starts with "Home". Such a great tune with a great beat and rhythm. I need to post a video of him bouncing his head and singing along in his car-seat.
2021, I was in the hair salon and almost jumped out of my seat when I heard this come on. I love that they’re playing it, but why are people sleeping on this fucking amazing song? Even back then! I don’t know what powers that be that kept this from where it should have gone, but I hope that Marc knows we love him and appreciate it.
Is it me or does it not sound the same as it did? I remember so much more grit and soul then what I am hearing now. I use to sing this a lot and now I am completely off. This just doesn't sound like I remember it to
Alright 8 year old DJ (although I'm thinking you might be 10 now) I just wanted to say hello and let you know that your message has reached me as far away as in London, England. Have a good one and keep listening to good music and doing the things you love doing.......And be good for your Mum too, although I'm sure you are anyway. :)
My late husband and I ran across this song quite by accident when we bought a mixed song CD...we both absolutely love the song and the singer. What an awesome talent he is ❤❤
Our families actually know each other pretty well. My mom was Marc’s baby-sitter when he was little. It so cool to see such great music from someone you know so well
The difference in his looks!! I thought can't be who I've been listening to is the same Marc on here, but cannot mistake that strong soul sound from him.💖
Found this after hearing it on the promo for Monday Night Football. This is GREAT music! This is the kind of stuff that needs to be on our radios instead of the garbage we are fed. Anyone have any more artists like this I can listen to.....would be greatly appreciated. Marc Broussard..............Fantastic!
I just found Marc two days ago. Cry to Me, and Change the World are my favorites and I have watched each maybe 40 times......Love this man! I even listen to this at work....can't get enough of Marc!
How in the hell does this only have 3.5 million views? This young mans voice is amazing, this song is amazing. Love your music, Mr. Broussard. Thank you for giving this to us to listen to.
I absolutely love Mark Broussard and his band. I think though the song "Home" with its' infectious beat is the best song they've come out with so far. Everytime I hear it, no matter how blue I am, I can't help but smile within seconds of hearing the first few beats. Thanks guys you make my soul sing!
anyone else find themselves jammin EXACTLY like the people on the bus? i know i tapped my foot and bobbed my head. he's good…and…his voice…is soooooooo DEEP. lol literally xD
This is seriously one of THE BEST songs ever made...i was lucky to be in a bar with my man and somebody played it....i had never heard of Marc Broussard..we proceeded to listen to his music for the next 3 nights.. he is AMAZING!!
So happy Ray sang this song on The Voice! Marc Broussard is such a great artist and deserves so many more fans. Been listening to this song for years, so happy others get to hear this awesome song as well.
I still get chills every time I play/watch this. Can't believe it's been 14 years already. My regular YT name is Otis (Redding)Fan#1, so I've been steeped in soul music for 60 years. Marc, you can stand tall with the best of the genre. Bless you and all of your fans.
Why can't I buy this version of the song anywhere? Everywhere I go to try and buy it I find some toned down live version or a different performance. They're good, but this version is pure gold. Dammit Marc take my money!
I love him so much. His voice is like liquid GOLD. I just wanna meet him at least once in my life. A true talent that doesn’t get enough recognition it my opinion.
GO see him LIVE! His drummer Chad, and guitarist Joe (seen at the 2:49 minute mark clapping in the crowd in the green shirt) are awesome musicians and great people! I have seen Marc and his band 14 times. Worth every penny!
Marc you are amazing! Keep writing more music like this, with lots of soul. I'm a native New Yorker who now lives in Los Angeles and this music soothes my soul, so unique. Nice to see a "white boy" with soul in this day and age. We love all your stuff, but I must admit this is my favorite, keep going. We have kids your age, but your music inspires us that the younger generation is not totally lost to commercialism. Keep on going!!!!!!!!
I remember when this song first came out, I was obsessed with it and played it over and over again. I remember wishing I knew the sub genre so I could find more artists with that swampy sound. He comes to Boston in exactly a month and I can't wait to see him live!
Had to come back after hearing it on The Voice tonight. I've loved this song since it was first released. Marc has a AWESOME sound. You just gotta move when you hear this start up.🖤✌
My wife turned me on to Marc, you can here the that Louisiana Blues, that down home Soul of the South in his voice. He will be around (& has been around for well over a decade) a long long time. This man must come from a family with a strong Southern Rock& Blues background. Moved him to the top of my playlist both here and Apple Music.
omg i just rediscovered this song. i was so obsessed with this album when i was a junior in high school back when it dropped! i'm glad he's still touring and has a music career. to think he was like 22/23 years old here. incredible!
My mom used to play this every time we took the journey from VA to WV to visit our Family etc.. because it's what we always collectively referred to as "home", now as an adult "home" is an entirely different place but this song still rings true to my heart and soul and makes me yearn for those times as child when I would hear this on the journey and get excited to see the family I barely ever got to see. This song truly is amazing, and connects with more than just your mind or ears.
I first heard this song sung by a college a'cappella group back 8 years ago. I used it as a singing and breathing exercise to regain my lung and O2 strength and levels and my voice after being in a medically induced coma for a week. Been trying to figure out who sang it originally ever since. One of the reaction channels I watch just reacted to it recently solving my nearly decade long search. Great song and incredible voice.
