Thanks for tuning into this one. It's hard for me to even articulate how much I admire Marc as a creative, entrepreneur and, most importantly, as a man. So consider this episode my effort to express all that, and share the candor, conviction and clarity of vision that Marc has been so generous to gift me with over the years. I hope you enjoy.

From his popular clothing brand Ecko of the 90s and 2000s, to the big company Complex, Marc Ecko is one of the most underrated and under appreciated entrepreneurs of his era. And finally getting to his story is an absolute treat. As always you never disappoint Noah.

I'm from Ukraine, and Ecko UNLTD was a first streetwear brand that made that street underground culture that we were living in ( grafity, hip-hop etc) legit. I remember Ecko pants was my first branded piece of clothes, it felt huge and so real, I still remember that feeling. And that was in Ukraine man, imagine the reach of that, it was impactfull! Shout to Marc and everyone involved. Respect.

This is epic for me. So many light bulbs went off in my head being that I loved Ecko apparel as a kid but also always being drawn to Avirex and Zoo york too, I had no clue he created those as well so that makes perfect sense. I'm an artist and designer as well and actually have one of the most well known custom clipper brands in the world but my fashion design bug has been itching at me for years now. This inspired me so much hearing his story. Kinda funny I actually had a parody shirt idea today and was looking up the complex logo but had no clue Marc created that as well. It's about damn time my Google algorithm actually sent me something I needed to see lol. I'm still very much a small fry in the grand scheme but I have monumental ambitions just like Marc. Thank you for this conversation! 💯

Marc Ecko, I first found out when my elder brother and I started playing Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure on the PlayStation 2. We really liked the game, after that we began to buy the clothes themselves, which could be obtained on the territory of the CIS, specifically in Belarus (the video itself looked in outerwear from Marc Ecko). We liked the very style of clothing, with regards to the game, I'm surprised why no one has decided to make a movie, TV series or a new sequel game based on it, because it deserves it. It was nice to hear and see Marc Ecko.

I had an Ecko hand me down red hoodie that I still have, that my big brother wore in his street fights. He cut thumb holes in the cuff part of the sleeves…..I eventually cut the sleeves off lol I still have a gray pair of Ecko cargo shorts too that I wasted bleach on, but still rollerblade in them joints 😂….Marc your threads still hold up OG I still have his video game too, that I never finished lol I have the iconic Complex mag with Lupe on one side and NERD on the other….literally grew up with this stuff man!!!
