Marc knows how to vibe with a musician he's never played with under pressure. I noticed that because, even though I think his strength in composition is his ability to make a funky bass line and build a chord structure around it, he chose instead to lay down a beat for Rico with no pitches or key that still sounded full enough to vibe with, probably so that Rico would feel comfortable with whatever key he wanted if he decided to ad lib a vocal hook. And it totally paid off. Small stuff like that shows Marc's genius for ad lib composition. Bravo
