my brothers and had ALL of our birthdays there, growing up. I can't believe you have this on here! it brought back so many memories. I wish you had gotten the ticket prize counter though : )
Greatest place of all time. Im a harcore gamer these days but if they brought it back today i would religiously be there to play xmen. One of my favorite childhood memories
awesome! Thx for uploading this. I worked there in highschool. If you grabbed the top of the ballcrawl and reached across to these metal stands you could electrocute yourself. Also at the end of the video behind those games in the lower part of the restaurant there was a 'secret' room that employees would go into and make out. Good times!
Your saying none of the wires were grounded nor the outlet. It is no surprise coming from Marc Glassman. The guy is a scumbag. He cuts corners and that is why he is worth 20 billion dollars. I worked at a Marc's and to sell more dairy products even if the dairy cooler wouldn't hold it they would put some of it in a produce cooler or even leave it out all night without any refrigeration. I worked in dairy,so I know;plus, the dairy cooler was filthy, and with it being always overloaded you could never clean it. I remember not being able to move around well in the cramped cooler either. There was also food that was rotting in that cooler. I walked in the dairy cooler one day, and I could smell pork sausages rotting and it smelled like fish. I also saw them oozing a pus like substance.
That PTT opened in 1981. It was pretty popular from 1981-1984. Things started going downhill in 1985. The location closed in 1987. In 1988 it opened as Marc's Funtime with a retrofitted Balcony Stage. In 1990 it was turned into a C-Stage with different characters and without the C on it. In 1993 it became a huge success. In 1994 they where loosing money. In 1995 the location closed. In 1996 the building was knocked down. The last location closed in 2001. I remember going there a few times in 1989-1995.
Thanks for posting this ..Brings back so many good memories from my childhood. I went there a lit and had many birthday parties there it's exactly how I remembered except the animatronics (can't spell😂) were different I think. I loved playing ski ball was my favorite wished it still existed so I could take my kids but they would probably be terrified because of Five nights at Feddy's lol
My friend mike z had a birthday party there many years ago. He got a gameboy at the party and we all played it on the way home in his moms mini van. Memories 👍👍
when i think about it their is quite a few pizza places with animutronics in them like show bizz pizza place, chucky cheese, marcs funtime, and i,m sure their is many more!
I use to go to that one when I was like 10 years old. I'm not sure what happened to it now. I moved about 2 years ago out of state so I have no way of finding out myself but I still know people in the area.
This is the Akron Marc's Funtime Pizza Palace. I researched and found its address along with opening date which proves this is the Akron location. Its the one in that Southland mall.
How easy are these style of CEC robots to get?! It seems like every knockoff pizza place and their mom has some...i wouldn't mind making a FNAF band...(sorry, another FNAF commenter...I know, i know...)
Ghastbuster13 to get a whole band would cost a small fortune considering Marc's had PTT bots which are kinda difficult to find, the reason so many people had em in the 90's is because concept unification got rid of most of the PTT bots in favor of the retrofitted RAE bots and studio C they are pretty hard to come by for a reasonable price I saw a jasper going from 500-600$ so...Goodluck I guess!
If you read the website of Freddy fazz bears pizza website in Utah they said they would make places just like Freddy fuzz bears with different animatronics.:0
WonkafiedWizard Chan I found more on the balcony stage Marc the dragon Chomp the walrus Rita the bunny/reindeer Ally the bird Fletch the panda ((He was from balcony stage))
Cuz back then all of our arcades were very dark. By dark i mean the mooding of the light. It was like the arcades from the original ninja turtles movies if uve seen them. And it wasnt necessarily a kids place. Way more young teens there than kids
Chuck e cheese is garbage compared to marcs funtime pizza. Chuck e cheese is to mainstream and literally has all little kids stuff. Marcs had stuff for kids and teenegers and whoever else
Marc's was a rebranded Chuck E. Cheese's lmao. Marc's is actually also a grocery store chain in the Cleveland area still with stores open to this day. Marc's funtime is long gone though. Yes they had their own shows.
