the new techno djs don't have even the closest technique to the old school techno djs, and this is what pisses me off the most, while the new-comer clubbers are glorifying the bellow average technique since for them its lots of effort even pressing that damn sync button...
rezhisjoro Does he look like pressing a sync button? He's driving this hypnotic set mainly with vinyl, please don't react like an old dumb people. Although, this is not about technique here but about class and effective tracks selection matching gently together offering us a cool and dark groove.
errbody chill. jeff mills and ben sims etc etc are great djs, that's a given, duh. i'm just saying dettman's good... like, can i just compliment the guy without this being "you don't even know" competition? cool, thanks. and +rezhisjoro... what sync button?? i guess your not as much of an officianato as you portray yourself to be...? wtf?
edaltweow i said it as a figure of speech, since nowadays everyone is a dj, using the l-tops and etc. back in the days and even now you had to bust your balls practicing in order to have a modest mix and skill to beat-match and fine tune the pitch during the mix, that's all,
+shiroxx92 techno has many forms and it is what brings all genres together..if you want to to hear pure techno as you called it you should check shifted boiler room performance peace!1
I have been a DJ for five years and let me tell you that this set is very similar to Ben Klock's Boiler Room. They have similar BPM and bass patterns with intricate snares.
Why the hell did you cut off the last song right at the climax? When I was watching this set live it was an incredible moment which is completely lost now.
