Right? Did they just skip What Was Missing, or what? Because man, that song *alone* makes it painfully obvious that they were together at one point. They couldn't have made that clearer without saying it outright.

I didn’t keep up with Adventure Time for a long time but even I found it weird why people were so angry about it.

I mean the fact that the shirt was more sentimentally charged then the last gift of a father to his daughter before he was lost to mental illness, that is an intense connection they must have had.

I for one do like Bubbline, but as someone who doesn’t view either member of the pair as their favourite character, I’m not a fan of how the fan base basically forgot about every character once the possibility of them dating came into the equation. But I guess on the point of them being paired in the last episode of the original show, I can see the argument that due to that being too late into the show’s run, people wouldn’t get to digest the new relationship that much, atleast not until Obsidian. Although fan reaction aside, I’m very biased to this show, as it’s currently my favourite show ever made, and is heavy inspiration for my own story, which I’ve been writing for nearly as long as the show itself has been around.

It's like what was missing, varmints, stakes, all of that didn't even exist to them. I remember being like 11 and seeing varmints and going "ohhhhh they're in love" as a CHILD, like 4 seasons before they were actually confirmed romantically

she is evil...and shes good and shes a dictator and benevolent leader thats what a complex character is they aren't just one thing because thats how ppl are thats why i love this show the characters change and grow and you see them do horrible things but it dosent make them horrible people

good luck, my advice if it starts losing you, take a break and pace yourself through a rough patch of episodes.

I showed the show to my dad, but I decided to cut about a third of it out, mostly from the first 4 seasons. A lot of the early show is fun, but a lot of the deeper more emotionally driven stuff comes later. You need a certain amount of context for that stuff, but definitely not every episode. I'm sure there are some good guides online for what is mandatory and what is skippable.

I would look up what the important eps are for season 1 and 2, and skip the rest. Those were my least favorite seasons. By season 4 it gets it's pace down and keep getting massively better.

The first couple seasons are the most shallow and imo worst. As the seasons go on they focus way more on lore, world building, character arcs, etc. Not to say those seasons don't have any of that, and they're not /bad/, but they don't have nearly as much and they don't pack as much of a punch. Tbh you can probably skip most of the first season entirely, and then go back and watch them later to see how much it changed. It's so good. Especially considering how each episode is only 11 minutes long. Sometimes they have episodes full of huge revelations and lore dumps, and sometimes they sprinkle it in throughout several different episodes and only directly addressed at the finale or seasons later. I was about 13 when I first started watching it as season 3 or so was airing, and it definitely matured alongside its audience. Some things I didn't fully appreciate until rewatching as an adult, and it's still just as good as it was when I was younger
