There's a lot of singing competition in the Philippines in the provinces and sometimes there's a contestant that sings like that. We call it doble kara. He is not the first. Definitely the one who shows the world that this kind of singing exists.

That's not true. He wasn't living on the streets as a child. AGT made him lie about that, he said so himself.

I disagree! I'm filipino, the whole country knew he was abandoned at the age of 2yrs old and lived in the streets from 7-26 years old, orphan. He joined Pilipinas Got Talent and he won. That's the start of his stardom.

Let me clear that up real quick, buddy. It was not first invented in the Philippines, it was first PATENTED there. There's a difference between those two. If you haven't figured it out yet, it was first invented in, not surprisingly, Japan during the 70's. And this is not me just spitting out crap, or because I am biased because I can speak Japanese. No. This is what it actually is. "Karaoke" for example, is a Japanese term. You can look it up yourself.

Good to know. The strong Karaoke culture in the Philippines has been one of the foundations why a lot of good singers hail from there.

​​​@@gtpflug2987 de hecho si tiene una, olimpico que es un duo en canto lírico ,decir que dimash no podría hacer un duo como este es un poco ilógico cuando dimash en sus canciones tiene entre 3 a 7 voces ,lo que dimash hace tiene un grado de dificultad mucho más alto ,con esto no quiero sonar grosera ni minimizar a marcelito pero tanto solo escuchen diva dance de la película el quinto elemento como la hizo dimash hacer de tantos cambios no sólo de tesitura sino de género musical tiene una dificultad imposible para cualquier artista escuchado hasta ahora ,lo que pasa que dimash lo hace contanta maestría y agilidad y tan relajado que lo hace parecer muy fácil ,pero cada una de sus canciones es una prueva de fuego para cualquier cantante , y perdón si sueno como fanática, pero hablar de dimash es cuento de nunca acabar hay tantas cosas por analizar que podría estar aquí comentando horas ,ya para finalizar solo les diré que tanto marselito como dimash me encantan marcelito trasmite mucha dulzura en su voz ,y es injusto compararlos pero al hablar de dimash sin querer termina uno comparando 🙈
