Joey Luckow I thought about this too, if we add Boogie to this team in the offseason we get what AD can do offensively and maybe more. Plus we keep all our young players but nobody talks about that.

@@austincarey7504 right man! Hopefully Magic comes to the same conclusion. GS can't re-sign Boogie unless he takes another HUGE discount. He's looked great since he's been back, idk why people are forgetting about him when they talk about the 2019 FA class. Davis is a top 7 player at worst. Boogie is a top 30 player who doesn't cost us all of our future assets and make us take on bad contracts. Bron plus Cousins plus our young guys (or a different all star we trade them for - Beal maybe?) Is a better overall team than Bron plus AD plus roster filler.

AD coming to the Lakers isn't a magic potion that cures all. If LeBron wanted to respect a coach, he could've went to Clippers. But he wanted the brand name and not the healthier LA organization.

Depends on how much they are going to offer. No way they should offer cap relief (since they won't be able to sign another max free agent). Lonzo Kuzma Ingram Zubac and 2 picks is the most I would offer to them. Or they can wait to get ripped from genious Danny Ainge in the summer just like every other team these past few years.

I'm all for getting AD but you don't gut your entire roster if you don't have too, and they don't. One big free agent added to Bron this summer with the current roster is more than enough to complete with ANYONE in the NBA!!!

Magic swindled every draft and Jeanie by bringing in big names that sell tickets. At first they wanted to mimic GSW style of play, but look how that turned out. Team USA Bronze building mindset. Lebron said its gonna take time with talent, but made the call to make changes! Walton bout to go too!

I respectfully disagree with Whitlock on the “never played 82 games” criteria. I personally think playing 82 games is overrated. Somewhere between 65-75 is optimal. Otherwise you’ll burnout in the playoffs. With that said it’s imperative that the lakers get AD. If he doesn’t end up in laker uniform next season you might as well kiss that window goodbye. I’ll bank on a Warriors team (even without KD or Boogie) over LA in the west (unless Klay departs , then it’s over).

The game is just too dynamic today, it’s not a luxury to have multiple allstars on a team, it’s a necessity. AD is their last shot for this season. 65-75 games is straight considering that what I mentioned earlier about burning out. Also considering how horrid some of these teams are (Knicks, Cavs,Bulls,Suns) you won’t really need to play your all stars to win.

Anthony Davis is not a "generational player". Durant, Harden, Antetokoumpo are generational players. Davis can't even bring his team to the playoffs, and he has good players around him on the Pelicans by the way. And Marcellus is the same guy that said that Larry Bird wasn't a generational player... he needs to be hospitalized.

At this rate,The Lakers will have 1-2 years of Great Lebron and AD together. Then with every last piece of the younng core shipped and every possible first round pick gone, the Lakers will be lucky to be what the Pelicans are now. First round exits and lottery for the following decade.

As soon as LeChoke realizes he can't win a championship with the Lakers, he'll jump on to another team AGAIN to form another super team but only after they've traded all their assets. Hard to respect this bum when as soon as he realizes he can't compete with the team he's in, goes to another team and try to form a super team there. He did it 1st time with Cavs, then left the Heat after getting stomped by an aging Spurs team. Left the Cavs a 2nd time when it became obvious he will never win another championship there and the Celtics will clearly dominate them next season. Heck, he only came back to CLE because Kyrie was there! Left all the teams he's been to in tatters, after those teams tried hard to build around him and "get him some more help", trading/signing players he wants and hiring puppet coaches. Sad that he's now doing the same to Lakers. This bum will never understand that dynastic teams like Spurs and GSW aren't built (in his case- bought) overnight.

I’m a Lebron fan and I hope that doesn’t happen. But if the Lakers don’t get AD by the deadline, and/or possibly Boogie or Kyrie this offseason you’re probably right
