This has, and will always be, the BIGGEST problem with Stephen A.. He thinks he's the only one allowed to criticize anybody. And if he gets critized, to him, it's always out of line. To call Stephen A a hypocrite is a vast understatement. The guy thinks he's the only one entitled to an opinion, and believes anyone and everyone should give him defference, which is crap.

I knew SAS was a phony the day after Kwame Brown called him out for his personal shots against him and other black athletes. SAS comes in and wears an African-themed RBG jacket through the entire next show. As though black people are THAT stupid. If that doesn't confirm the insecurity and pandering that Marcellus is talking about, nothing does. Google it.

TBH...I hope so. I remember when T.O went for him...and nothing happened. Michelle Beadle went at him and he got dinged but Michelle lost. SAS lost a lot of credibility here. I never had an issue with him, but giving an ultimatum to fire Max or he walks was a bitch move. What is completely over the line and unprofessional is going on a media tour to shit on Max even more after he was laid off by ESPN. Stephen A. is the biggest phony on ESPN. Wiley is way more talented, well-spoken and REAL. Also, surprisingly more knowledgeable about all sports (not just football). Once Stephen A. burns enough bridges (behind the scenes sources), he will be exposed and suffer a large dip in viewership.

I've never liked SAS ,he's always been fake to me. I remember when Max and and a guest host (can't remember who it was) caught SAS in a lie about something that irrelevant to the story and was absolutely not worth lying about, yet he chose to lie and they both agreed he was lying, SAS mumbled something and quickly changed the subject. But to make it seem like viewers didn't like Max, and that athletes and no one else respected his takes was completely wrong. Marcellus called him out on that and then Stephen A changes the narrative on that.

Max Kellerman was correct about many social issues, and Stephen A. Smith couldn't handle it. I criticized SAS on Twitter years ago, and many people criticized me in return, but I was confident that I was right. For example, Will Cain frequently defended racist and disparaging remarks, such as those by the former president against NFL players. However, Max Kellerman effectively shut Will down and articulated, with straight facts, why Will was dead wrong. On the other hand, SAS pandered to Will, almost like he was afraid to step on his toes, ultimately placating him. Now, look at where Will Cain is working. It supports my point. Max was right all along. js
