Jack, I have your first three books on Audible. They are fantastic books and I love listening to them. I listen because I walk, mt bike and ski a lot so I use Audible. The Left is trying create hate where ever they can, do not take it personal. What have they done for our Country! Even some big time Lefties in the Entertainment business are starting to see the damage being done to our Country and our citizens by the Left and are starting to speak up. The pendulum will start to return. I truly appreciate your story telling gift. John
I will undergo a triple bypass very shortly. I’ve ordered your first book to keep me company during my recovery. Happy to support a vet and a fellow Sig fan. I’ve subscribe!
Sig P226 is a solid weapon. I carried the .357 version for many years. It gets the job done when needed. I personally never had a failure with that weapon. I love the monthly book lists. Keep them coming!
Thank you for you service. I am a huge fan & have brought, gifted & recommended your books to many of my friends. I am heartbroken however in the past few months book lists! I've read all of them! Really looking forward to "The Devil's Hand"!
I came late to the game and stumbled upon Terminal List. Started reading it and I can’t put it down! Being former military, I love that you don’t waste the ink explaining acronyms yet you go into great detail about Reece’s gear. Can’t wait to read your other books.
Read all 3 books. Love each and everyone. Have the 4th pre-ordered in audiobook, hard cover and a signed hard copy, why all 3, because the stories are the best I've read. Thanks for your service and thanks for entertaining us with your writing. God bless you Sir
THE HAUNTED MESA is a great book. My second fav LL book behind LAST OF THE BREED. I'd love to see you interview Beau L'Amour on your podcast...he's done a lot to promote his dad's work with the reissuance of the LOST TREASURES series. I'm reading SAVAGE SON, THE DEERSLAYER and CROW KILLER: The Saga of Liver-Eating Johnson at this time. Great review, keep `em coming!
I was introduced to you and your novels on the Joe Rogan podcast and was immediately drawn to your personality, manner, and of course, stories. I quickly found the first three novels, consumed them, and have been a BIG fan ever since. I like and share your outlook. And I like that you have never cursed in anything you've been in, that i've watched. You are one cool dude! Keep up the great work and the books to read!!!
I really like this format and I’m constantly looking for book recommendations from people who are like-minded. I read that autobiography on Chuck Yeager back in 2012 after I met him in Afghanistan. I knew a lot about him prior to reading the book because I’ve always had a fascination with military history but it was a great read and it was an honor to meet him and speak with him for a few minutes after he told us some war stories. He was a true American hero.
I look forward to this every month and read most to if not all of the books that you recommend. Keep up the great work! Super excited to read the Devil's Hand!
I have just found you speaking. I find this refreshing in that you can read your detractors as opposed although this is entirely encouraging to pursue your literature.. because thank you. Jack. Looking forward to seeing you again....
I would leave a review, but I deleted Amazon off of my phone after pre-ordering your 4th book. Just finished Terminal List and True Believer (first books read for enjoyment, cover-to-cover, for me in over 12 years) and am on to Savage Son. Well done sir, well done.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your first three books.....looking forward to the next one.....highly entertaining...a godsend in a crazy world....thank you sir
Jack, I have listened to your first 3 books on Audible. I really enjoy them a lot. I hike, ruck, run, and prefer listening to books over music. Thanks for your service and your writing. Keep up the great work.
I agree with you on Yeager, remember reading that when I was a freshman in high school. Can't wait for the Deval's hand to come out! Reading Unintended Consequences by John Ross while I wait.
Jack Carr is an excellent writer and his books are definitely a 'must read' if you enjoy the action- adventure genre. In addition he is a person who really supports his fan base.
I’m reading first book in the series and I am enjoying it.. if I hadn’t bought the book and read these reviews it would make me want to buy the book even more!!
Brother, from one Navy O to another, you're a good man. I'm not sure that I'd give the ignorant a voice. Really looking forward to The Devil's Hand! Thank you for all you do.
Love these videos, Mr. Carr. I recently finished the terminal list, and I have started up True Believer. As a seasoned Brad Thor reader, I am finding your stories to be phenomenal. Thanks.
Jack, I am so happy for you. It must be so much fun to see your characters coming to life. To have people like Pratt and Fuqua on board is amazing. I can only imagine how pumped you must be. Congratulations are certainly in order...you've earned every bit of this. Keep up the great work!
Read your first two books in quick succession. Non stop high adventure at a gut wrenching pace. Currently reading biography of Frank Hammer The Texas Ranger that got Bonnie and Clyde. Enjoy your work and have subbed the podcast.
Sir, I love your books! Everything about them is 110% engaging! I was never in the military. I’ve regretted that a lot. I went to a Navy recruiter right after high school. I wanted to be a helicopter pilot. This recruiter was honest with me and told me I was too tall (6’5”). I knew I was too soft to be a SEAL even back then. Patches Watson would have chewed me up and spit me out. Anyone that has a trident has my immediate respect. I went to the Army recruiter. Apparently my Asvaab score of 87 was pretty good. I wanted to either fly helicopters or try out for Ranger school. My recruiter wouldn’t here any of this. He was determined to sign me up as a surgeon and pay for my medical training. I told him no. I guess he didn’t understand that word, so he continued. End of story, I gave up. Did I mention that I hate quitters?! I went the boxing route for awhile then into law enforcement. Back to your books, please keep writing! I wish I could send the publisher a $200 check to send me all new books. When that was exhausted, I would send more.😁 I also enjoy the guns and blades you have on your podcasts. I have a West German Sig P226 that I bought new. It is and has always been a terrific gun. I generally carry and shoot Glocks and 1911’s now but I’m fixing to buy a Sig P365. Keep up the amazing books and podcasts. Have a great day! Kevin Ramsey
Would be awesome for you to compile a full list or video of books you recommend for us dads to compile for our sons. My boys are 5 and 7 and I need to begin compiling more books like Yeager for them to read as young Americans. We love the Hatchet series and of course Jockos books!
Thank you for the “Church” hearings Referal! I wasn’t even born yet! That’s a depressing thought, that we were facing exactly the same issues then, as we are now.
I'm on book 2. Loving it. I've read (listened) maybe 30 books in this or similar Ganra and you and the narrator are in my top two ( the other being A. American's Going Home and resulting series).
I love The Haunted Mesa. I remember reading it in 8th grade at school during 1st period when I didn’t have a class. Such a good experience that book was each time I read it
Stones throw bourbon made in spring grove mn. Rockfilter distillery. Most amazing bourbon I've tasted made in Minnesota the warmest yet. Have a great day. Thanks for the great suggestions
Got a recommendation for you, Carr, and for anyone else interested: Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. If you haven't read it already I think it's right up your alley. And if you're not familiar with McCarthy's writing style it'll be a difficult read... and even if you are it'll still be a bit difficult... just make sure you have a dictionary handy as he uses a lot of archaic language in this one.
You should check out Warrior Whiskey, it is made by Steamboat Whiskey Company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The owner Nate is a former 18D with the Navy Seals. It 100 proof Whiskey and a portion of the proceeds are donated to one of the seal foundations. Nate is a good person and a good friend.
I cant wait to read them I just bought all 3 of them and will buy devils hand as soon as I can thanks jack I have a 6 year old boy named Jack so right on have a good one .
I didn’t know S.E. Hinton was that young when those books were written. You write and underline in books too. I like reading used books to see what the other readers found important.
I'm really looking forward to The Devil's Hand coming out in April. I have read the 3 previous books and loved every one of them. I think this world, and especially this country, could use a few more James Reece types.
Great video Jack! Will you be going to the Blade Show in Atlanta in June? If you’ve never been you’re missing out especially if you’re a knife guy. I think Daniel Winkler has a booth every year. Hope to see you there!
My personal view, is these one star reviewers are looking through the lense of young men who grew up with multiple deployments to Starbucks, while being forced to drink soy milk, while assigned to operation douchebag. Keep up the good work brother, everyone of us that comes out of the community, and rocks it in civilianville sucks out their life force.
Ah yes, Covid... this does bring me to a question, as technothriller occur generally in timelines similar to our own is the pandemic lockdown a thing / going to be a thing in future novels?
I'm not a pro blogger/creator/YTer/influencer or whatever else they're calling everyone, but I did want to make one teensie weenie suggestion. Perhaps invest in an external mic that sits closer to or on your person, so that we hear your voice much clearer in the video. Audio was a bit 'underwater' sounding.
I got to admit the last book was a little bit of a letdown there needs to be more action also it seems like the entire book is a commercial or review of products.
