I don't think Shifter will get hit, unless Snake-Eye Fire King is getting checked to a bigger capacity, since it's a card that also hits many other decks. Having the tier 0 Deck running free is nothing Konami would want.
Konami please give me back Verte Anaconda. I need this card to be international champion with my Dark Magician deck and the Best Card of Yugioh "Dragoon" 🏆💪😁
The forbidden list just looks like oh no its not fun when meta decks don't get to do the meta. Does it screw rogue too, yes, but those bans legit hit the meta which isn't good for the health of the game because we are telling anyone who wants to join the game you got to first spend 300 for 12 cards to even think of touching this format
I think opposed to limiting Flamberge and Wanted, they’d limit Ash. Ash has no problem getting turbo’d out. It would hit the consistency but wouldn’t outright kill the FK/Pure Snake Eye Decks. I don’t think they would touch Wanted because it was the chase secret of the set and it would definitely piss off players that players spent hundreds to obtain them.
Konami doesn't care about the secondary market and AGOV is no longer a set they're trying to promote. I don't think they care about the way players would feel about the hit.
Lab can abuse it. And it's less about who can use it and more about how problematic it is when being used. Last list they limited all 3 of the type/attribute floodgates and they weren't all seeing a ton of play.
Hey, since u play Mannadium I want to share a level 10 syn monster with u, I normally summon it instead of dis pater. It can be summon with crimson dragon. (Cyrstal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon). Its spell/trap negate with baronnne plus reframing is pretty deadly. It's second effect helps when your board Is broken, u can just sit on this monster with its high attack plus its third effect allows u to add droll when sent to the graveyard.
It's totally unlikely that Konami TCG will ban King Calamity at this point. Specially after seeing what happened in the OCG after the card was banned. Centurion depends so much on King Calamity to survive for long enough to fully set their board since the Archetype is simply too slow for Modern Yu-Gi-Oh since they only have 1 Tuner (that can only be summoned once per turn no matter where) to do everything this archetype needs to do to establish their board during several turns and the support from Legacy of Destruction turn out to not be enough to fix the archetype's main problem (lack of Tuners) that forces them to depend on King Calamity in the first place King Calamity deserves a ban? Yes. But first, Konami needs to fix Centurion so it would no longer need it anymore Similar thing with Albion the Sanctfire Dragon. On one side Branded has barely topped in this Meta dominated by FIRE Decks which will continue after this Banlist since Tempai Dragon is also a FIRE Deck and the new Support the FIRE Decks are going to get). And in the other, Konami TCG will want to sell this in the Mega Tin just like with the rest of the Albaz Lore cards (specially considering that the other Lore which is the Visas Lore will get less spots whatsoever) Just because Gimmick Puppet is going to get support, does not mean that Nightmare would receive the Axe. Just look at what happened to SHS
Throw away beatrice and i think tear is finally dead. Like, dead dead. Beatrice was one of their only comfirmed plays so without it, millers, or kitkallos, that deck cant function anymore.
good video, d shiftr shoudnt get banned tho. maybe limited or semi but it keeps certain decks alive. if youre going second nd your opp set up 10 negates then wtf am i supposed to do? the games over before i can even play. you can play thru shifter. even in FK. its a temporary effect anyway.
I understand where you're coming from, but against a lot of decks, dropping shifter just skips their turn, which can be argued is worse than dealing with 10 negates.
Your argument about Beatrice is the same as Pankratops being summoned as the first action since both Halq and Centur-ion (as well as RUM PK Launch into Kali Yuga) happen only during MP. Personally, I believe a better solution would have been for Rollback to not skip the cost and be an EXACT copy of the target card, forcing even EEV to require a tribute and would automatically make all those bad "turn skip" targets way more manageable.
Initially i believed Droll is our "TCG Maxx C" but with how much more combo-oriented we are compared to OCG, Shifter took that role and I would be surprised if it ever gets hit. Personally I believe a semi-limit would work really well, because it lowers the chance to see shifter on the first 2 turns while becoming an even worse draw after that affecting very negatively deck design to the point of players cutting it. It's not like CBTG that is always live or even Gamma that can get value even later.
They can't just fundamentally change how rollback works when there's a ton of other "copy" effects in the game as well. Cost and effect are different things as far as rulings go. So copying an effect simply doesn't copy cost. Look at the entire deck of darklords. That's how their main mechanic functions.
Flam at 1 would make even Crow high-impact handtrap but I think they will ban OSS to promote the new Sinful with Diabelze in the coming set without touching Wanted which can guarantee big sales on a side set after the megatins. Also Ash being a super would be a perfect limit as well, making Bonfire mandatory. Unfortunately banlist isn't used exclusively for balancing, and we have to take into account that.
I would love a Sharvara unhit but it's highly unlikely because it's an old deck. About the other unholy trinity of floodgates, fun fact skill drain is by far the most manageable one (even compared to Gozen/Rivalry/TCBOO) and it has enough "nostalgia" to stay at 3. But Anti Spell has by far the highest event success out of them all, with Summon Limit now become popular enough to contest it, so I find both toxic enough to be limited, 100% agree.
Finally about Santifire, it's such a cool design if you use it on Albaz making your grind incredibly better. A simple errata negating and preventing the activation of the effects of the monster summoned to the opponent's field would be enough to prevent all potential abuse turning random mosters into "scythes/vanity" as well as loops like Flare Metal/Beelze, but I don't see this ever happening. Same with King Calamity. If the lock was on your turn OR it required a Synchro summon "using the above materials" like Cosmic Quasar that got released on the same pack as Crimson Dragon would prevent the turn skip entirely. And I'm 100% sure this interaction was intentional because the RDA Structure deck would be the PERFECT spot for a reprint/errata that basically doesn't change the card at all.
@fabianbeteta5795 you're going to disagree with me, but nibiru is a bad card. Every top tier deck since the cards inception has been able to either: A. Play under 5 summons B. Put up a negate before 5 summons Or C. Full combo through nibiru. Nibiru only becomes usable when paired with another hand trap, and even in this format where people are main decking 15 hand traps, it's only a 27% chance of seeing Nib + hand trap. So roughly 73% of your games, Nibiru is a non-issue.
@SuperInsaiyan18 your right. Even with nibiru being mained, it feels like a dead card and must be why most people are side deck 3 and not main deck them as much.
@@fabianbeteta5795 don't get me wrong. I still play it because for a 27% chance to open it plus another hand trap, winning 1/4 of your games is pretty good... it's just not broken enough to warrant hitting
Boohoo let's ban all the cards that don't allow me to run 20 combos on first turn and ruin the game for other guy get real that's why the game has gone to trash
