I have ADHD, and one serious thing I’ve learned is to add the things I actually do to my to do list. It’s a to done list. My therapist told me it’s important so that I don’t begin to feel like I haven’t done anything. I also write my wins for the month. Be kind to yourself and give yourself grace. The reality is the month may call for changes and your mood may call for changes in plan. We got this. ❤

What about a mid month check-in/video! That may hold you accountable to look back at the past couple weeks (and it is new video content). 😊

These videos are so peaceful and therapeutic for me like something about just having this on and setting goals for the next month is so satisfying 🥲 don’t ever feel guilty if you don’t fill out everything in your planner, Kristine! Everyone has their ruts; it’s normal! Whenever that happens to me, I always just take a couple days for myself and really think about why I wasn’t successful and mentally forgive myself after I find the root of the problem because staying disappointed isn’t a good way to start a new month and you can feel more rejuvenated when you come back and approach your plans again. Hopefully March treats you better 😭

I totally agree with this. When I am needing to focus on work I play the whole list of videos. It is soothing to listen, aesthetically on point even when not trying to be super aesthetically pleasing, and works great as body doubling. Thank you so much for making this content! ❤❤❤

The best organization advice I ever was to make the system fit into your life, do not try to make your life fit into the system. For example, if you change clothes in the bedroom and throw your clothes on the ground in the corner, don’t put the laundry basket in the closet where you think it ought to go, instead put it where you normally throw your clothes down and decorate it to fit the space. You could just be a biweekly girlie rather than a monthly girlie; nothing wrong with this. Don’t beat yourself up for something that is really not a problem, unnecessary stress. Just make it work for you. Like do your monthly thing, just do it twice; and the second time, don’t beat yourself up! Take yourself on a little date and reflect on what you accomplished and reset for the next two weeks. Cheers!

I’m definitely a weekly planner person. I find that planning a month can be so jarring because things shift and new things come up. I plan every single Sunday morning and I go through fill out my weekly plans and my digital calendar too. I find that helps me look at things without feeling super overwhelmed. Plus it is a nice reset. When it comes to planning for the month I do a few things. First I plan my monthly goals so these are usually larger things I want to do and then I set an intention for the month. I also then reflect on the previous month with a little journal prompt about what I accomplished & learned. Then I do a monthly vision board on procreate and I put that as my phone lock screen so I can constantly see it. I find doing this at the beginning of the month is great and then just weekly planning in addition! ❤❤❤❤

Always love your content! I usually keep my monthly plans more vague with intentions instead of concrete goals and then make more concrete goals for my weekly plans… really I use my monthly planning session as a vibe check or vibe realignment than like an actually hard core planning session

I plan the exact same way you do where I write down all of my plans and then don’t get to some of them but then do other productive things that don’t make it into my planner. 😂 I’m not sure there is a way around it. I think it’s possible to “have your shit together” without being able to capture it all in a planner. I was happy to discover I’m not the only one that happens to. Love the videos - keep them coming, please.

This is exactly how my Feb was too! And I did the same thing, planning for March to be super simple. I barely got a week worth of tracking my habits in feb.

I use the monthly planner more to see a month at a glance because sometimes in a weekly planner you can forget about what coming next Monday since you don’t see it right away. And on my monthly plan I’ll put mostly events like dates with friends, bf, and family, dr appointments and other appointments, concerts etc. That way I don’t forget about them and I can plan my other tasks around it. And in my weekly planner I’ll put more details like a bit more time blocking, work, a small to do list.

I have a video suggestion… I really haven’t been able to integrate notion as much as I’d like because I need to figure out how to make it easy to use on the go (AKA being able to quickly and easily add tasks/ideas to notion on my phone). I want your notion template so badly, but haven’t purchased because I’m convinced it won’t be mobile friendly. I looove your videos & also your vibe - I find myself enjoying your videos for entertainment/soothing but also I learn and get new ideas!

3:30 I am so happy you brought this up! The same thing happened to me. I felt guilty but I think its just life. We can't always do everything exactly how we want when we want. I just started trying to document more with photos on my phone so that I can go back later on when I have the free time and fill it back up as best as I can.

Weekly planning > monthly planning. That said, I use the 12 week year principles and make sure that: 1) I don't set too many goals and that all of the goals I set are truly what I want and what will bring me closer to my long-term vision, 2) all of the goals have actions and success indicators attached to them and - and this is the thing that helps me the most - 3) I timeblock those actions into my calendar every Sunday for the week ahead. That makes me see realistically how much time I have for anything else.

I look forward to my monthly planning but it is more about organizing my month then goal setting. I should do more goal setting, but just getting everything that is happening on the calendar is enough for me.

I love that you want to talk about other things to do with the iPad besides planning! I got a coloring app based on your rec and I love it. And for habits/journaling, I tie it to something else. Every night I put my iPad on the couch and when I'm watching tv, I multi-task and get to my habit tracking and journaling.

Maybe part of the "advice" section -- I've actually kinda found that I'm missing the monthly calendar/dashboard from the last planner. The habit tracker feels overwhelming to me, like pressure to come back to things daily, whereas I prefer looking at my planner maybe 2-3x per week. Not getting to the habit tracker every day makes me feel like I should just avoid that dashboard, which is so weird because I really loved the idea of it initially! I'm just going to add my goals and intentions to the monthly calendar spread now.

First off I love the idea of different ways to use your iPad other than planning would love to see more of that content from you. I definitely carve out time to monthly plan but to your point it feels like things do shift and life happens. So usually what I do is update my monthly plan and make sure that my weekly plan reflects and captures anything that my monthly doesn’t. Monthly planner helps me organize my thoughts and feel prepared vs my weekly planner is more of my breakdown and live time updates. Loveeeeee your content and I’m very interested in your garden as well 🥹🪴 hope your march is beautiful

I'm SO glad you shared that you struggle sticking to your monthly plan because I do too and always wonder "why can't I just stick to it?", but I think it is just life and learning to be flexible week to week and also just be kind to ourselves AND also removing any guilt/feelings of failure just because we didn't stick to a schedule we set out! I love you for being real and honest 💛

It helps to remind myself that nothing really ever goes to plan. If I remember and I notice that the month isn't matching what I had planned, I'll adjust the plan. It's one of my favorite parts about digital planning because it's easy to pivot and update. I try to see my planner as a 'living document' and it's expected that the plans will shift and change.

I don’t comment much on RU-vid videos, but you waited so patiently… 😊 I have the same issue with month vs. week. I’m one of those type of people that likes to keep things in sync. So if I come up with something for the week and it’s not on the month, I copy it to the month. I don’t think it is possible to plan a month ahead and have it all go to plan! I’m enjoying your planner and your videos! Can’t wait to see the Procreate video!

Your struggle with planning makes me wonder if you’re a generator or a manifesting generator in Human Design! I’m trying to approach goal setting and such with a Human Design eye and don’t have much to report because I JUST made myself a planner (took me WEEKS to try and download it) but I tend to just keep events, appointments, and “deadlines” on the monthly calendar. Since I couldn’t add reflections in my digital planner, I’m making a separate reflection journal for nights, weeks, and months. And my habit tracker I approach with the mindset of observation to see what I stuck with and what patterns I’m seeing with what I keep up with, and have reflection questions underneath

I have had Covid 3 times so I have brain fog and I have ADD so I also get destracted easily. I have found adding things that I do daily to my notion check list and saving the big things that have to be done months for my planner. If it’s a deadline or an appointment it gets time blocked! Hope this helps!

Hyperlink at the top that takes you do the habit tracker. Overly simplistic and would be hard to do. (In response to your request for advice). Or flag it as a book mark then use the reminder app to prompt you to check in each day at the same time or at the end of the week. 🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏻😅

Love your videos. Fell off with my habit tracker in February too. Maybe try tracking them per week? Also, please what font did you use to write the “stop measuring days by degree…..” quote?

Maybe you could plan twice a month. I think it’s natural that plans could change in two weeks of a month. I think it’s important to be flexible in that way.
