That foot colloration looks pretty familiar. Had the same set of iridescent colors after a mountain bike incident back in the 90th. Made a drop, misjudged the landing, and tore up the ligaments in my right foot cause the binding that should have prevented that did not release. Cycled home (12 miles) with one foot doing the pushing and one foot doing the throbbing. Went to the doctor, then to the hospital, and they made an X-ray. And found a broken bone that had healed, which was not in my medical file. The rest was sprained pretty badly. I remembered a time that I walked not so great after a fumble on the stairs of station Nijmegen Heijendaal. During university reading biochemistry in the 80th. But my foot did heal again in two weeks. So, no worries.

I've had a very similar injury to my ankle late last year. I would also recommend using a heating pad! Soft tissue injuries take a while to heal, but you got this!

I also sprained my foot in March doing something very similar to how you did. My foot twisted and my tendon even pulled off some of my bone in the process. Also my first time on crutches and they really aren’t as cool as everyone makes them look, mainly just painful. I feel your pain and I’m so bummed having to go through all the rehab it’s going to take for it to feel normal again 😩

quick crutch tip for (hopefully not) next time, if they are touching your armpits, then they are too tall. Try to leave 2-3 fingers worth of space between the crutch and your armpit, and rely on your strong climbing arms to do the work! That's what we tell our patients to avoid any damage to the armpit and surrounding nerves etc. :)

I hurt my foot in the same way in February and it took me about 2 weeks to walk normally and then like over a month to feel totally better 😭 and be careful after it heals not to step on the same area!!

Omg we are literally sprained foot twinsies!! Except I was a doofus and let my foot fall asleep, got up and walked, and my foot caught and bent so weirdly. I went to urgent care and was like "yah it was crunchy sounding". No broken bones though!! Got some gnarly bruising now!
